Since you alerted the dealership of the issue while it was under warranty, and they told you to wait for a TSB (do you have the service record for this?), I'd be contacting the regional service rep for Ford in your area. Go back to the dealership, and talk to the service manager there. Be polite, and ask for the contact phone number for the regional service rep.I guess my frustration is the idea that it's okay to tell people that they can't cover it under warranty, and to wait until a TSB is released. Then when the TSB is released, tell people you can't cover it because it's now not under warranty?
Then explain to the regional service rep (again politely) what you were told to do by the dealership (wait for the TSB).
I'd also be prepared (In your case, I'd insist on it) that you go to the next closest Ford dealership to have the TSB performed when the regional service rep tells you it will be covered. You will win this one.
