I have went through the same thing other than my flooded battery died a few days after the PCM/BCM recall update and several months before the battery recall came out. I replaced it with an AGM battery to the tune of $260. I was told by Ford directly and as well at the dealership that unless I...
The oil pump is actually super simple to replace, just remove the oil pan and the belt cover and the pump is fully exposed. Sounds like the oil pump belt replacement is a whole other story.
My bad on the verbiage, these engines seem to have an issue throwing low oil pressure lights and a P0524 code, which is exactly what mine would do at around 5000 RPM and then it would throw itself into limp mode. Ford checked the sensor and the associated wiring, all good. When the tech...
I got tired of the dealership constantly brushing me off on the noisy brakes and Ford not backing up their product, I finally gave up and installed ceramic brakes and new rotors all the way around and installed the Diamond Motorsports brass bushings in the rear and the brakes are quiet as can be...
Is the factory spare okay with the bigger tires if you ever need it or would a larger spare be required as well? Aren't AWD vehicles fussy about tire size? I have even heard never just change one tire on an AWD because the difference in tread height can f-up an AWD system. I know when I had...
I finally gave up on the dealer, installed ceramic pads all the way around, new rotors all the way around and installed the Diamond Motorsports brass bushings in the rear and what a difference. We have been pretty humid out here the last few weeks and the whales have been quiet (although mine...
I reported mine way back in the warranty period as well but at that time there was no fix. When the TSBs started coming out, the dealer kept saying expired. Next time I go in for service I will probably try one more time to get the dealer to do this and if not, then I will install the Diamond...
Quick question. I was just on the phone with Ford a few minutes ago and they told me this TSB expired back in 2023 and that I could no longer get this fixed. They also told me my vehicle wasn't eligible under the TSB, I told them I think they need to read it again as the TSB listed 21 - 25...
Have no idea about their process or where they connect the equipment, all I know is they state it as a flush, not a simple drain/fill. I have never been a fan of transmission flushes, moving forward I will do a simple drain and fill.
From my understanding, the dealerships only do a flush, not a drain and fill. I had mine done at 35k and they charged me $280 and man the shifts are much smoother. I am not a big fan of flushing transmissions at all but would be curious to know where it says that a flush is not recommended for...
#1) Yeah, need to call Ford customer service anyway regarding the battery recall and see how to get refunded for the AGM battery I had to buy three days after the BCM recall. This would be a good time to bring up the TSB for the brakes. I just hate sitting on the phone waiting for someone to...
Yep, my dealership keeps blowing me off on this as well. Every time this TSB is revised and am at the dealer I ask to get it fixed and the service writer spends a minutes on the computer and then tells me the TSB is out of date. I do have the extended warranty, yet the dealership is refusing...
My BSBB didn't come with a full size spare, just the stupid donut. Maybe I will need to get a full-sized spare if I go to a bigger tire. If I need to change, no point in buying a bigger donut.
Not really sure what the tire size will be at this point, was basically going to decide that once the springs are in place so I can have my tire guy let me know what will fit without rubbing. If one tire is a bit smaller/shorter (the spare) than the other three, won't it mess up the AWD system?
Quick question to anyone that has done the springs and installed bigger tires. What did you do about the spare? Did you also purchase a larger spare to go with larger tires or do you just carry a plug kit and air compressor?
have you or they (dealership) checked the exhaust pipe connections at the turbo? I don't see how the turbo itself could leak but could see the exhaust pipe connections on the turbo leaking. I don't know exactly how these are setup, have not looked at one but that would be next place I would go
