My wife has a 2023 Escape, which falls under the TSB. Her rear brakes were howling like an enraged Sasquatch. She took it in to the dealer this week under warranty , and they had a great attitude. Will see how well the fix works when it gets colder.

We have had this noise on our 21 ever since new. I just ignore it because it does not happen consistently.

Mine has gotten worse and happens more frequently. I had an appointment for the TSB last June and it got canceled because Ford put a stop order on it in anticipation of a fall update. My BS is now out of warranty, so I guess I get to fight with them that this should still be covered since I made it known and tried to have it addressed during the warranty period. Sigh.

I did that, but they wouldn’t give in. They want me to pay out-of-pocket and there’s no guarantee that it is going to work. I sent in a complaint to the FTC. I hope others did the same.

For what it's worth, I had the latest TSB done for this on my last routine maintenance visit (Jan 9th) and have not had brake moan since then.

I finally had it done on April 3 — the moan had gotten ridiculously awful. Sadly, it doesn’t seem to have made a difference; after a couple of days, the wailing cow was back at nearly the same level. At least the service advisor made sure I didn’t have to pay for it. I’m debating whether to even tell them it didn’t work at all. At this point I think I just have to wait for the brakes to wear out and try replacing them with ceramic to see if that does it.

TSB 25-2051 (Subject of this thread), now TSB 25-2143 (dated 10 April 2025) which supersedes TSB 25-2095

How could there be so many TSBs all for the same issue?

I had the same issue. Sounded like a whale and got worse every day. Finally installed the brass caliper bushings from Damond that were recommended on here and havent heard anything since. Its been about a week now and before I coulnt go more than a day without the whale moan.

Anyone have this done and know if it worked?
