I myself enjoy beer, cocktails (especially Kentucky brown water), and wines in the proper company.

Sierra Nevada - winter warmer
It's a 6.5% ale that tastes like a stout but has a soft light finish. Prominent flavors of toasted vanilla and maybe pecan? If I had to guess ibu I'd say 65

A lovely Bell’s Christmas Ale. 7.5% ABV, malty IBU’s probably in the 40’s. A bit pricy but heh, it’s CHRISTMAS.
I also received 2 beers for Christmas that are only sold in Wisconsin. I’ll post on them in the coming days

nice I do like the Christmas spiced ales. I bought 16 tall boys of this Sierra Nevada barrel aged bigfoot that I'm drinking sparingly, I posted in another thread. I also got some Samuel Adams winter lager right now too.

I definitely prefer the winter beers more than all the pumpkin stuff in fall.

Enjoyed a Negresíma Mexican Vanilla Stout from Punto de Unión Cervezería Cocoreña located in Cócorit Sonora Mexico.

Love the Black Bird (so black he's navy) in the Astronaut suit.

(Cócorit is a small pueblo just a few kilometers north of Obregón Sonora Mexico that has a tiny bit of colonial flare).

I have to show off these beauties again. If you can still get them I highly recommend

Sierra Nevada (pronounced nuh-vaa-duh by the way) spiced barrel aged bigfoot ale. 13.5 % abv 90 ibu. It's multiple vintages of bigfoot blended and finished in bourbon barrels.
If you've ever had one of those chocolate oranges in the foil, it's got the forward taste of that with some coffee bitters, followed by star anise, toasted nutmeg and light cinnamon. Very festive, super tasty, smooth and medium bodied.

I will try that Bigfoot Ale!!
I always liked that Sierra Nevada does a basic Pale Ale that's not an over hopped IPA. I enjoyed Sierra Nevada for as far back as 35 years ago when I lived in the Northeast.

01/01/2025 - Beer of the Day

I'll keep it rolling with another. Attended a nice dinner with music last night, 12/31/2024, at Charismas Restaurante in Álamos Sonora Mexico.
Enjoyed a Bachuculi Stout from Cervezería Yoreme located in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico.

Yoreme is a Mayo word (Mayos are an Indigenous people from very Northern Sinaloa and very Southern Sonora, closely related to the Yaquis of Sonora) that means "People who Respect Tradition"

It's a decent drop, but not as flavorable as the inaugural beer I showed yesterday. Yoreme does a decent IPA as well.

Nice you guys are showing me some beer I've never seen before!

It's Friday I made myself NY sour. It's a spin on a simple whiskey sour, with a red wine float. I used wild turkey 101 again as it's my well whiskey, and the red Wine is a Austin Hope 2021 Treana. Which is a 75% cabernet sauvignon 25% Syrah blend I had left over from the other night and don't want it to go bad.

Here’s another Wisconsin beer recently reduced by a few pints! PS: The Spotted Cows are safely corralled in the fridge. Those are the most asked for from those not from the area! I prefer mine a bit more meaty. The Warped Speed is my go to for taste.
