Recall : Even the new design can crack. Recall expanded.

We donā€™t know the factory procedures used to install the drain tube and PCM Programming. There are situations at the factory where software updates are not free - there are too many conditions to list here why that can be the case especially when none of us know the actual procedures used. I am...

Recall : Even the new design can crack. Recall expanded.

Your vehicle may have been built with the drain tube/PCM Programming and if so there would be no recall for that for you.

Do you Have 360+ on your Bronco Sport

That is 358+ less than 360+ šŸ˜‰ Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0 also includes: (on some vehicles) Wrong-way alert. This feature uses cameras and sensors to detect if the vehicle is traveling in the wrong direction and alerts the driver.

Do you Have 360+ on your Bronco Sport

I bought Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ primarily for the Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go. I disabled Speed Sign Recognition and Lane Centering because I found these are too dangerous for city street driving and in construction zones on freeways. I also disabled Lane Keeping (Ford...

Do you Have 360+ on your Bronco Sport

Yes it can be unwieldy, have to memorize all this stuff plus some of the functions are alterable using Settings on the 8ā€ Display Screen. Recall : Even the new design can crack. Recall expanded.

Ford has not yet fully clarified why the drain tube and PCM Programming was not done on the recently produced 43,000 Bronco Sports other than as various recent articles stated Ford believed the new -BC fuel injector was more robust. This 4/12/2024 article has a few key takeaways (most of which...

Recall : Even the new design can crack. Recall expanded.

Nothing wrong with that approach. Probably always has worked well for you in the past. And many owners (probably most owners) with the 1.5L do not have any issues or have been minor issues for them.

FB71 provided good info for the 8F35 transmission in posts at this link (Post #23 and other posts). (Does not answer the question you asked however about failure modesā€¦) https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/something-i-feel-i-have-to-clear-up-about-transmission-servicing.10701/

Wow that would meanā€¦ Before Falkans (with Continental tires ??) Bronco Sport shows: 27 MPG Calculation by hand: 23.5 MPG After Falken AT4 245/65/17 installed: Bronco Sport shows: 21-22 MPG Calculation by hand probably is: 17.5 to 18.5 MPG ?? If you mean the Ford staff that monitors these posts (or more likely contractors), they can assist you after you work with your dealership (sort of as a go-between you and the dealership to help get you get satisfactory results from the dealership). They can also file a Case # on your behalf if...

    Bigger engine for BS

I havenā€™t seen any published reports of actual testing of the 8F35 transmission above its design limits. If testing were done by Ford or commissioned by Ford those would almost certainly be confidential and under a non disclosure agreement.

    Bigger engine for BS

Good to know. Now we just need a handful of 2.0L owners willing to run at the rpm for 277 ft lbs torque over a variety of heat, cold and hill climbing grueling conditions to find out when the 8F35 flips out. Btw ā€¦ Ford stated this for my ā€˜22 BL: 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Generation...

What would you say your average mpg was prior to putting on the Falken AT4's? Now that youā€™ve been driving some with the Falken AT4's do you still routinely see the ~5-6 mpg loss? And for that 5-6mpg loss case, is that mostly for stop and go type driving or for freeway driving at constant...

Yes that is what I was saying too - Ford transmission engineers would need to be consulted and when I worked for GM occasionally I would get random calls on technical topics and of course I would have to say ā€œitā€™s all designed within specā€ there are NHTSA reports on 8F35 transmission issues but...
