I did watch the vid, but there was no demonstration of the light output after the tint was installed.
I'd be concerned if these are legal in most states.
Yes I know, many things are not legal that folks do anyway.
Did you use a meter of sorts to determine how much brightness is lowered by tinting tail lights?
I'd not like to know that someone got into a severe accident due to a light not being bright enough due to tinting.
I'm all for a cool factor, but only if it does not affect safety.
Your instructor is/was correct. An analog gauge requires you to only look at the needles position to determine if all is well: temp and oil as an example. The needle will point to a position that you are used to knowing all is well. Numbers can cause you to have to stop for a moment and...
That would be me.
And I should note that I came up the ladder as an old school die hard "no replacement for displacement" attitude. As some will recall, I own a 67 Camaro SS, plenty of torque, lousy handling.
I got into the BS Outerbanks when the wife and I test drove it, and was impressed...
Any time I come up on a vehicle that has faux hood scoop, I either accelerate to stay ahead, or fade way back, as I don't want to risk having one come off at speed and provide a projectile for me to have to steer away from.
This happened one time back in the 80's from a driver in front of me...
Darn it, I knew I was missing that one item that made the BS whole.
I think I have a few of those free dollars left from Ford.
Off to the WWW and Google to find one.
This is simply not true. Any engine can utilize a turbo, regardless of how many cylinders it has. The turbo simply needs to be designed around the engine displacement.
The European car engines have been using turbos for many years for power and gas mileage advantages.
So in the driveway, you can then turn them off once its known they function.
Maybe not the Broncos so much, but many others I have to drive by are extremely bright. I'll usually put on my high beams as I pass by so that oncoming driver can get an idea of how bright and annoying they ae.
