Today’s beer is probably less important than the barware used to serve it. Enjoy the game!

I’ll drink to that!

Needed a little motivation to get some stuff done on my day off. I made this rum espresso martini of sorts.
Ford Bronco Sport Beer of the day thread 20250211_102121

Bailey's, khalua, kraken rum, along with a spash of some home brewed iced coffee and chocolate milk, and chocolate bitters Shaken with ice. Topped with some chocolate whip I made real quick. (Didnt have a great way to pipe it on top) garnished with coffee grounds and fresh grated nutmeg.

It's fine because it has coffee in it.
Gunna wash some dishes and chop some more fire wood

Start by washing the glass? :cwl:
Pshhh wow lol.

Here's simple one. A man's daiquiri. Found the goblet I usually serve it in had a big crack in it.

3oz. Lime juice
2oz. Simple syrup
6oz. Bacardi superior (my cheapest well rum)
Shake with ice, pour out, and float with Gosling's black seal Bermuda rum. Float stays separate while sipping and you get the spices on the nose up front and the lime and simple rum after. Refreshing and potent.

Just realized I posted this one before

Had what has to be one of the darkest of stouts. Sierra Nevada barrel aged imperial stout. Coming in at 11.9% abv. Oak barrel notes along with toasted coconut and vanilla with a slight bitter coffee finish.
For example my NEBO torchy 2K lumen flashlight directly behind the glass in second picture.

Enjoyed with dinner, and also counts as dessert. Great after gym combo for paddy's day.

Cheers!

As a retired Chef, there is not one thing wrong in that picture

Attempted the easiest of drinks to make the other night. An old fashioned. Turned out well enough but I really don’t have the right glassware for it. Will have to remedy that soon.

@MJE Woodford is nice but for some reason I don't care for it in an old fashioned. a little too woodsy sweet on its own to mix for an old fashioned. I usually go for my well, wild turkey 101. higher proof to cut through the sweet of whatever syrup I end up using.

rum old fashioned are really tasty too, made a few of those last week for a nice change of pace. mixed kraken, smith and cross, Appleton's with like 10 dashes of bitters, and a splash of demerara syrup I made.

Thanks for the tips! One thing about a drink that should be seemingly pretty basic, everybody’s got a different way of doing it. I like your ideas so will try both. I’ve been told to try Buffalo Trace as well.

oh yeah so many variations. some crazy guys like lighting things on fire but in the end the nice simple old fashioned is the best in my opinion.
