Following whatever directive they received from FORD simply stated that if the technician observed any battery other then the newly approved FORD/AGM battery he/she would be required to replace the foreign battery... I would have liked to keep that battery as a backup, but they were also...

Yup..understand your frustration. I had to pay for my own AGM battery last year and as you mentioned they are not cheap... oh well at least they issued me an AGM battery in its place.

Yup... just had mine serviced today and indeed they did replace my battery which was an aftermarket AGM battery that was working fine after I had to bare the expense of replacing the original battery that went dead a year ago... but was told that would not be covered...ugh... oh well at least...

I agree with you 100 % Like I said I love the block that is my BS... but always liked and still do like the look of a Porsche Panamera... And yes I'll barely be able to make it over a speed bump to get into most campgrounds... lol This escape just gives me that vibe for pennies on the dollar : )
