You always have some nice things to share
Well in past years we didn't get very many craft beers in Ɓlamos, but suddenly all of the places here are raising the bar a bit .. it's a pleasure to sample them and share. ?? We'll have to see what I find when I'm back NoB in a few months. ?

Beer for me. My favorite is Molson Golden.

Ford Bronco Sport Beer of the day thread 100_0619
I was bummed out years ago (20 now?) when Molson was merged (bought) by Coors... Now there isn't even a Molson Coors Canada... It's Molson Coors North America headquartered in.. wait for it... Chicago. Yes, they also own Miller.

I had a work assignment in American Samoa for several months and our group became fans of Steinlagers, a beer made in New Zealand. It came in 1 liter bottles. Another favorite was Olympia. I recall that an Australian cruise ship came through for a day and there were no more Oly's on the island. Anyone know if either of these two beers are available in the US.

Used to drink Olympia when in the Navy (ā€˜60’s & ā€˜70’s). Got four for a $1 in barracks vending machine. Made for a great morning shower after a duty day aboard ship

Love this thread idea! I may have to steal it for other forums if I may. I’m a beer guy so this fits.

Tonight’s selection is one of my old favorites. Not so much that the beer is by itself better than other raspberry ale options in cans nowadays, but that the brewery itself is an excellent pub to hang out at & eat. They stared doing this back when nobody had heard of micro breweries. It’s been in our community mall for about as long as I can remember & is always a happening place especially on a Friday night. I can’t go & not run into someone I know, despite being in such a large city. Ordering it in pub will net you one of your daily servings of fruits with raspberries floating on top. I didn’t recreate that at home.

Can’t believe I’m the last person to comment on this thread! Today’s is another raspberry (I’ll fill in with a different one later). This one I haven’t tried before & is more fruit sour than flavored ale. Still it tastes like a 2nd is in order on a fine snowed in Saturday afternoon.

So what did I do to earn such an amazing beverage now? I finally changed out the disco strobe leds in the master bath. Y’know the ones that are supposed to last for years & don’t ’burn out’ like the old ones did? Yeah not even a year in service. These new Phillips ones from Home Depot though actually last like they promise. There must be a difference in factory grades in China for these things as I’ve now replaced the original generic brand ones in both bathrooms & the kitchen / diningroom are next.

2700K is a great color for LEDS and Philips is a great brand. Perhaps was just a case of defective manufacturing?

Thanks for keeping the thread going. I've been neglectful.

This was a chocolate milk washed negroni I made last weekend. I've made a few clarified batch cocktails before. A little time consuming but nice to have a bottle to pour and sip for friends in the moment with no prep to do in the moment.

All in all it was super tasty, not as bitter as making a regular negroni. Silky texture and could taste the chocolate on the finish.

I also had some pomegranate juice so I made some pomegranate simple syrup. Still to use it in a drink though. Maybe tonight

Philips is a great brand. I have yet to have one of these fail on me before their time. The ones that failed were all some generic brand I got with the light fixtures when I put them in a year ago. One of these days I’ll post a morning beverage thread, maybe I should do it tomorrow featuring Baileys, with my vintage Philips Norelco coffee setup as old as I am.

Thanks for such an awesome thread idea to begin with! I did steal it, it’s a great forum off topic discussion.

Oh wow. I’ve never attempted something quite this awesome before!! That looks amazing!

Do it. I'm not a coffee person but I'll admit I've made myself an espresso martini before 10 am on a day off before lol

The clarified drinks are nice because they kind of have a longer shelf life also.

LED bulbs don’t like heat and humidity. Unlike beer, which loves heat and humidity. Especially when drank!
