Anyone else lose faith in the bronco sport? Over a 2 month span I've had the 4wd module go bad, the turbo took a shit and then a week later the cat conv. This was my goto car. Now I worry about my kid taking it out for fun. I turn down 4wd trips. Completely don't trust this car anymore. Anyone else had it this bad? Just waiting for the next multi grand breakdown.

Ive only had mine for 6mos so nothing has gone wrong with it yet. 🤞The extra maintenance these ecoboosts need is a bit of a downer, 2 or 3 engine oil changes a year as well as more frequent than usual drive train oil changes are inconvenient to say the least.

I'm coming up on 4 years in April and just clocked 136,000km (84,510miles) and I'm the same as Paul, no major issues other than the recalls, regular maintenance and road issues.

I find my BB to be very reliable and dependable even in our winters (-40c/f). I've followed the "severe duty" maintenance schedule because of camper towing and commuting and so far other than oil/lube/filters; 3 sets of brake pads, 1 set of rotors, 1 set of plugs, 1 transmission service, 1 RDU service(warranty) which in my books is not bad at all.

I have had mine for almost a year - 27 MAR is when I purchased it. I have needed to take this into the shop twice.

1) for the instrument panel recall, and

2) on our trip to Moab, we had a cooler plugged into the 12v port in the center console. When we got to Moab, we found the cooler's plug had melted in the port, making it impossible to remove. Dealer got it taken out and replaced it under warranty because they weren't sure if the 12v port caused the problem, or the cooler - which I doubt because we just used it during a trip to Nebraska in our other car just three weeks prior.

And oh, I forgot. I have had the windshield replaced. Safelite came to my house and replaced it with an OEM windshield. Insurance covered that.

These are all the problems I have had, and nothing serious.

I wish you luck with your vehicle.

We are the same, we have our Bronco Sport BB for coming up on 4 1/2 years & about 66K trouble free miles. It is my wife's truck & her DD that she uses for commuting back & fourth to work two days a week 45 minutes each way. We have the local dealership change the oil & filter every 5K miles. The recalls we have gotten on the BS/BB we have done when the truck goes in for routine service.

4 Water pumps, 1 a/c condenser, multiple recalls in less than 2 years for me. I never had to pay anything out of pocket, but I didn’t like what I saw looking into the future. Traded it in with 23,000 miles on it.

I loved the car but lost trust for long term reliability. Even minor repair costs have gotten way out of hand.

I do love my Bronco Sport but yes the reliability is not there. 2 water pump replacements, 1 Transmission replacement and 1 Catalytic Converter replacement. The cat made an awful racket when it went out cruising down the interstate. I just wish this Ford was as reliable as my past ones.

At 5,000 miles I had the brake power booster replaced because it was causing a creaking noise when stepping on the brake pedal. A $2,000 repair if I had to pay for it. There was also a couple of things that had to be replaced when it was new because of poor quality control. I realize that some issues are to be expected when buying a new car but between my experiences and the experiences of those on this forum like some others here I do not have confidence in the build quality and reliability of these vehicles over time.

As I am getting older I do not have an interest in replacing my cars every 3 years so I purchased a 10 year Ford ESP. In the end, I would be very happy to have lost money on the purchase of the ESP but again with my recent experiences and the posts on this forum and the Ford Escape forum that I also follow I am fully expecting for the ESP to be a good investment over time.

If I decide to keep my BS, buying an online discounted Ford extended warranty from Flood or Granger is a no brainer with this vehicle.

Going on three years, no problems. Would buy another. In fact, looking to do so within the next 18 months.

I wonder if issues (or no issues) correlate to engine picked. It does seem the not-2.0 liter editions have more problems than the 2.0 liter vehicles.

Are you aware of Ford campaign 25NO3. It covers the CC for 14 years or 240,000 kms., not sure if covers the BL I recently received a letter on this.

Not Lost Faith

I have '21 FE @ 74k miles. Besides the brake moaning noise , the EVAP purge valve, and rear diff breather hose (all repairs I did myself) - no major break downs. I am on the high maintenance schedule due to off roading. I do have full underbelly armor. Replaced the resonator and exhaust pipe due to off road damage. This has been my experience so far.

If I ever upgrade to 6gen - I would be comfortable giving my FE to my daughter or give it back to my wife since it was hers to begin with- LOL
