It has been a hard thing for me to not get "Red 10" angry that cars - due to the total involvement of computers and software installed in them - are forever in Beta.
Remember the good ole days when cars just did car things...? No getting around the fact that cars are orders of magnitude better...
The short answer is: it's impossible to fully disable telematics.
Even if you could, the data is still downloaded when you go to the dealership.
Until DC decides to protect personal privacy from all the bad players (tech, auto makers, etc.) instead of filling their campaign coffers from them...
My dealership knew NOTHING about it. Not even a rumor. Weird since the TSB said dealerships would be notified by mid-April and for them to contact customers immediately.
With all the "you gotta check here. And here. And here" I can't help but remember the "how do I get that darn VCR to record my favorite show each week" uber-discussion!
Not criticizing, just commenting on how crazy operating a car these days is with all these features. TBH, one of the reasons I...
Excellent chart. Thank you.
I have the 2.0 which uses 5w-30 so didn't occur to me about the 1.5. Further, my local dealership keeps making noises that they don't use 5w-20 anymore. That Ford went all-in on 5w-30 (which is why I made my initial comment). Now I can say, "say what?!?"
NOCO Genius 2D. I went with the project as done by @MAGPLM. Looks great. Will update with link to his project as soon as I find it.

Loved his approach so much that I did...

Rust-Oleum Paint 213174 .6-Ounce Specialty Brush Bottle Appliance Touch Up, Black, 0.6 Ounce https://a.co/d/c32OMDG
May not be a perfect match, but it does cover and holds up well.
I love it. And I also am a big fan of the company. Always treated in a first-class manner. (Also a big fan of Bulletpoint, too.)
Attached are the template and instructions.
Love our BS BL. Won't/wouldn't trade it for a full-size Bronco. B/c IMHO the 4-door Bronco is a little too full-size (and pricey).
The ONLY annoyance I have in the Bronco/Bronco Sport debate is that I need a toad hooked to our Class C and the BS doesn't let you do that easily. In Ford's...
If "Baltimore area" means 695 Beltway-adjacent and you haven't settled on where to live, consider north of Bawl'more (Harford County).
Bawl'more, Merlin (spelled here as it's spoken hereabouts) has a few spots that still rate the "Charm City" nickname, but most of it has really gone downhill...
I ordered them. Thanks for the pointer!
But one issue. Call me dumb, but I can't figure out how to get the start/stop ring on. It can't be that hard, can it? Or is it that I'm really that dumb? (Hoping the audience doesn't bite....)
Bought the hood scoop a few weeks back. Now deciding whether to leave it black or color match it (and waiting on the weather, of course). Did you ever consider keeping it black? Or you knew right away you were going to paint it? And if you don't mind, how much did you pay getting it color-matched?
