There’s no reason not to trust the 1.5 dragon. It’s a proven engine with millions in service. You will see more complaints about the 1.5 simply because there are many times more BS sold with the 1.5 power plant vs the 2.0. You need to decide if the difference to upgrade to the 2.0 is worth...
I can’t imagine that a major manufacturing deviation is required to build a Canadian version Bronco sport vs US version. The DRLs are likely controlled by a Canada - specific module. Contact Ford of Canada’s head office in Oakville and explain the issue, I’m sure they will help...
Your factory tow package has a standard 4 -pin connector for lights. Small U haul utility and small moving trailers without trailer brakes use the same 4-pin connector. This 4 pin is sufficient for trailers up to a certain weight, but heavier trailers will require trailer brakes, a...
Jim the cost of labor is actually significantly less in Canada , the Canadian dollar is at .71 cents US meaning it’s 30% less. This is one of the key incentives for manufacturing here. This also is a large incentive for the film industry, which is why so much TV and film production has...
Hey Mark it definitely can be confusing, also made worse by the fact that the BIg Bend and Outer Banks have different 4x4 features than Badlands models. In both cases though, The different GOAT modes affect acceleration, deceleration (tranny downshifting) steering, shift points and braking...
Yeah … At the end of the info / description It’s the smart unlock (Auto Unlock when you pull the door handle to open if doors are locked) that triggers the mislock double-honk. Not sure why it’s called a “mislock” but it’s sure irritating. Just for fun I re-enabled it and sure enough it’s the...
Guys I apologize! Arrgg. It’s the MISLOCK CHIRP that I disabled. That’s the cause of double honk, it’s when auto-unlock is enabled, and when you open your door after auto lock. This is the cause !!
DISREGARD BE!OW … SEE MY UPDATED FIX LATER IN THREAD
I had the irritating double honk as well when exiting the vehicle after shutting down the engine. it drove me crazy trying to figure out why it was honking. sometimes it would honk, other times not.
It’s the rear occupant alert and honks...
Love it ! I like the increased ride height and the raised letter tires look Cool, I’m now thinking doing the same when it’s time to replace the stock Continentals … are they noisy compared to the stock tires ?
Hey Corey , like Davexx said it all depends on your skill levels. Seems in your state you undoubtedly would have been raised on driving in snowy conditions so you probably have appropriate skills compared to a driver from a tropical climate. In my case I use normal mode for almost all driving...
The 3 cylinder motor has a “growl” (similar to a small diesel engine), that’s more pronounced when not at full operating temperature. In colder weather , suggest to let it warm up for a few minutes before driving away. In really-really cold weather -15c/ 5F … plug It into the block heater...
Heck, these days you don’t know how a wave will be interpreted. Im even cautious when raising my finger when opening my sunroof - in case someone behind me thinks I’m giving them the finger !
