I didn’t have the problem for the first 1.5-2 yrs, now I have it most times first thing in the AM. My brakes work fine, and are wearing fine . . . so if I’m up my neighbors can get up too

We did, now we don’t. Not sure what this poll will prove. ?‍♂
Just wanting to see some stats from the members here. My '23 does not have the issue, so I'm stumped as to why some do, and some don't.

I think you just haven’t put enough miles on your BS. Mine barely makes noise most of its reverse time but didn’t start until over 15k miles.

Yeah, I had a 21 without it and have a 22 with it. Started probably a year into ownership. Had the fix (jk lol) that did nothing but seemingly make it worse. Still very early, but a split response kind of leads me to believe it could be tracked down to a bad run of something in the braking system. Either from parts suppliers or at OEM assembly. What do I know, however.
I have the 2022 BS BB and extremely loud brake squeal has been present for 8 months.

I had it on the OEM brakes so I changed them out with a Power Stop kit (cross-drilled rotors and ceramic pads). Plus I installed the updated bushing kit from Ford. The moaning stopped for a few weeks but is back same as before. Granted I live in a very humid area in south Florida so that doesn't help. It moans on the first reverse of the morning, after that its good for the day. Kind of like my significant other)

Yes mine does it from time to time usually just once a day when I first back out of my driveway. My solution back in driveway when returning home so I can drive forward when I leave. Oh and its not just the Bronco Sport. My previous vehicle, a 2015 Escape, made the same noise. Ford needs to redesign the rear brakes.

Brake noises are a ubiquitous problem across the industry. It can be exceedingly difficult to determine which parts precisely are interacting with one another to cause the resonance.

My 21 has the issue. Dealer did one of the TSBs last year, but it’s still an issue

Mine is a '21 and had the sound almost immediately after purchase. I installed the upgraded bushings kit and changed my pads at the same time. For me, the issue is gone. Hopefully for good.

My 22 has had it for over a 1 1/2 years. Not really an issue to me. Quieter in the morning than when I take the bike!

It's worse when it's humid/wet for those that care about those details.

My '22 BS doesn't appear to know the difference between humid, rainy days and hot sunny dry days with low humidity! We've been having some monsoonal type humidity here in the mile high region for the past week or so. We drove around town the past couple of days without so much as a peep, or squeak! I can attest that this noise doesn't care what kind of weather is occurring. Hot and dry or cold and dry, hot and humid or cool and humid. It don't matter.

'21 Bronco Sport Outer Banks. The rear brakes have made noise since new. Close to 35,000 miles now and they still make noise. I am thinking of trying an after market brake pad instead of Ford OEM.

But not all vehicles do it. It can be redesigned to not moan. It appears this manufacturer does not want to invest in the money/time to get it right.
