I’m in the valley e/of LA; small hills, traffic, and lots of stop signs and traffic lights. My BSBL gets around 18-20 mpg depending on the street/freeway ratio no matter what mode I use or how I drive it, but get it on the open road and level ground and I get in the low 30’s — get some grades...
Had my 40,000 mile service done this morning. After deducting my FordPass points, cost me $14 — a good deal for me.
Surprisingly, there’s a lot left on the brakes (kinda’ figured they’d be ready to replace). Service said they should go another 5-10K. I sure hope he’s right!
I’d already changed...
AND Ford is not the only one . . . They started removing dip sticks and calling the fluid “Lifetime” back in the early 2000’s, maybe even earlier. Mt first experience was in 2002-2003.
Has anyone tried spray-on bed liner or FlexSeal spray (rubberized coating) on the fabric liners? I know some one mentioned it ages ago on the forum, but never heard of anyone actually doing it. I keep toying with the idea, but haven’t gotten up the guts to try.
Changed cabin and engine air filters at 40,000 mi they were filthy. Cabin filter was a breeze, even though I couldn’t get the glove box completely out of the way — my old, skinny arms got me into it.
Engine filter was a b***h as I couldn’t get the stinking plumbing out of the way. Managed to...
Parking brake won’t help. I always use the parking brake, and have had the moan since 03/21. Haven’t bothered with Ford “cures”, consider it a back-up warning system <lol>
Found a mag-safe charger while Christmas shopping w/wife. 15a charger with over-charge and heat protection (according to the box) and mounted it to back of console with wire into the console. We’ll see how long it lasts, but at $9.99 (discounted at Marshall’s) and no more than I need to charge...
From what I’ve seen; 225’s and under can use cable chains, 235’s and up can’t use any chains. I bought cable chains (235/70r17’s), but have a “plan” ( you know how those go). If I need to use chains I plan on mounting on rear wheels, locking up front-to -rear and going slowly. I figure I’ll only...
Have about a five mile round trip to wife’s cousin for Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, wife won’t go away for the holidays — yet! In SoCal, so doubt I’ll need goat modes 😜
Unfortunately, that looks like a cut in the sidewall, and I don’t think the tire warranties cover “road hazard” damage. Still worth a call to see what can be done for you
