I'm with you, Bucko. I've been on this forum since before I took possession of my 22 Big Bend. I've also never owned a vehicle with so much electronic stuff (note the technical jargon). I too, love my Bronco Sport even with the moaning backup braking. Even with the failure of the instrument...
In 2021, I ordered a 2022 Maverick XLT awd with 360 assist+. The dealer called me 2 months after to tell me it might be a year before I got it if I kept that 360 assist+ on the order. I refused to take it off and at the same time I saw this same dealer had a 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend on order...
The point I'm trying to make is that durability wouldn't be negatively affected, even with the turbo which is small and the injector issue is unrelated to and not a contributing factor in this motors durability? (Yes, I'm asking a question!)
I have a question that is not directly related to the injector issue but since the size of the 3cyl has been raised as one. It's a 1.5 liter, I've had 1.5 liter 4cyl motors. Visually, they look the same in size. Internally however, doesn't the 3cyl have a larger crank, larger pistons and rods...
I have the same issue. Been living with it on and off for about a year and a half. Mine's a 2022 Big Bend. My question is, is this problem showing up on 2023 and 2024 models? I know it may be too soon to tell with the 24's, but how about you 2023 owners out there.
OK, you've got it! Although my favorite Tool album is Anema and the song of choice is Stinkfist! I have all their albums on my ancient but still functional SanDisk mp3 player which I take with on flights.
Since the topic is about sport mode, I have a story to tell about an experience I had just a few days ago. Coming home from an appointment out of town, I got caught in a merge lane where it ended about 300 feet past the light I was stopped at. There were a number of vehicles in the through lane...
We drove our '22 Big Bend off the lot 0n 31Jan2022. The first 12,000 miles were issue free. Then with no warning, the instrument cluster went dark. Dealer had it 3 weeks and thoroughly tested all electrical components and found that the cluster was bad. So far, 1 year and 12,000 more miles down...
I had that happen once. I have also jumped in and tried to start her only to see no key detected on the screen. I had forgotten to remove the fob from the pouch! Lol!
I just had the water pump replaced on my 2022 BS Big Bend. There is no TSB. However, my dealer followed the prescribed steps on the ssm. I have 24, 500 miles on her. They have replaced a number of the 8501-A pumps. The 8501-B pump is an upgraded version.
