Ok, so I am not complaining about my milage, inface I am pleasantly surprised. I bought a 2023 outer banks a little over a week ago with 29000km on it (18000 miles) I replaced my commuter car which i drive 200km (120 miles) to work round trip every day. so with the factory sticker saying 8.4L/100km (28mi/gal) highway, I was on so that is a little more than my fusion got but still not bad. so last set at work (800km / 500miles) I averaged 6.9L/100km or 34 mil/gal US and this last 4 days I used eco mode and got it down to 6.8L/100km or 34.5 mi/gal. these numbers worked out with in 0.05L/100km between hand calculated and the trip computer, so there is no issue there. and for what it is worth I drive 1/2 the distance at 110kph (68mph) and the other half of the trip at 120kph (74.5mph) with a short stretch (2 to 4 miles) with 4 sets of traffic lights and a 50mph speed limit.

has anyone else gotten better milage than its supposed to?

I’ve got the 2.0 and mine is slightly less than predicted but it’s fine for how I drive it and for what it is.

I have averaged 30.5 MPG over the last 8 tanks of fuel on my '21 BB. Always drive in "Normal" mode, mostly highway miles on my commute. It's all dependent on how you drive and the driving conditions. From what I hear on this forum, obtaining above EPA estimated mileage is common wth the 1.5L.

I did a 500 km round trip this weekend. Average 5.8L/100kms or 48 imp miles per gallon. I think thats around 40 in u.s gallons. On the way out I was at 5.6/100 and coming back6.1. I cannot complain at all. Stop and go city driving is usually around 9.3/100

that's good, don't think I'll ever see that here, I'm in the BC interior so right in the mountains. maybe when I go to Alberta to visit family ... what tires are you running?

Southern Florida here. My 45000 mile average is a very consistant 34 mpg. Highway only mpg varies between 44 and 48, depends on the wind direction. I do the speed limit (55-60) whatever that might be for a 80 mile R/T to work, use 93 octane fuel from either Chevron or Costco, eco mode, and adaptive cruise control as much as possible. I adjust the fuel bias using "Engineering Test Mode" every 10K after doing hand calcs to make sure my ECU readings are as close as possible to real time mpg. I replaced the OEM tread with the same 18" size but it changed my speedometer readings, 31 mph is now 30 mph on the speedo. This little change makes a slight difference so doing hand calculations is really important in getting your true mpg. I know to some it seems extreme to track milage in so much detail but its kind of a hobby and once I had the system down it doesn't take long to get it on paper. All in all turns out the BS is a good CUV commuter, considering it's as areodynamic as a UPS truck.

I have a '23 Outer Banks (1.5). Last year we took our then new Outer Banks on a trip from here in Syracuse, NY to Atlanta, Ga. Mostly interstate (65-75mph) in normal mode with adaptive cruise control. Figuring the mileage the old fashioned and accurate way, we averaged close to 36MPG. Around town we get between 28 and 30. I'm 80 and my wife is 78, so we drive accordingly.

Before I had the large tires on I was only getting 24 mpg which is pretty good considering I live in Kentucky which is super hilly and I tend to push the little 3 cyl pretty hard. Makes it hard to constantly get "great" gas mileage but all things considered it's pretty good.

After putting 245's on, I was getting about 23.8 until recently when I started filling up with 93oct fuel. Now I'm getting about 24.2 mpg which is appreciated. Didn't know that higher octane fuel would give such a bump. All in all I'm getting 40-50 more miles per tank.

It's pretty cheap to run this lil brick shaped awd suv. i feel that i get better economy in sport mode especially on a windy highway. I also feel anything over 100 km/h the economy starts to tank a bit. we are average 8.5-10 L/100km. 245/65/17 rubber and thule bars up top.

That sounds amazing!

I have my '22 BB that just turned over 84 000km and I did a detailed report after the recent BCM/PCM recall (https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/engine-performance-after-bcm-pcm-recall.11678/post-199567)

On NORMAL mode almost all the time and now averaging 7.7l/100km on daily commute so you are seeing better than me! Great stuff!

Went on a 400 mile road trip over the long weekend. With two bikes hanging off the rearend, only 22.5 on the highway doing 75mph. Normally would expect around 27. Didn’t think the bikes would affect it that much. Normally travelled with them in the back. That’s getting close to the 2dr highway milage.

67 or 68 mph seems to be the sweet spot for us.
We were getting run over at 75! At 67 or 68, I’d be worried about making it back alive!

I know the feeling! 67/68, stay in the right hand lane (4 lane divided hwy) and listen to that sucking sound of money being pulled our of their wallets as they pass on by!
