Had mine in yesterday again for rdu noise after already having vent tube and oil changed. They “inspected” and found no fault and could not replicate noise. I marched down this morning insisted on a tech driving with me. Noise heard and new diff on order ??
Mine had the water pump issue and shortly after the rear end shudder/thumping. Fluid and vent hose replaced and noise still there. Goes back in tomorrow and suspect they’ll change the diff now. Have ext warranty and am getting a free rental
yeah just had my water pump done and now the RDU issue. I have ext warranty till '27 but it's just the annoyance of bringing it to the shop all the time. I only have 35,000 kms on mine and just don't feel great about keeping it after ext warranty is finished.
Well got the tsb done today. Not good, noise still there. Guess it’s time for a new diff. Kinda pissed as they said they test drove it and verified ?
Had mine in today to inspect RDU noise. Vent hose on backorder could be next week or 6 months ...they have no idea. "Go ahead and drive it you'll be covered".....just WOW!
I did a 500 km round trip this weekend. Average 5.8L/100kms or 48 imp miles per gallon. I think thats around 40 in u.s gallons. On the way out I was at 5.6/100 and coming back6.1. I cannot complain at all. Stop and go city driving is usually around 9.3/100
So I'm having my water pump done today and called for an eta as it's been almost all day.
Was told it's taking longer as they are instructed by Ford to do complete cooling flush on all Bronco 1.5's. The issue is residual engine casting sand is blowing up water pumps prematurely. If you are...
I've had 5 litres, 3.0 vulcans, 2.3, etc etc. There is nothing wrong with this little 1.5. Have no problems passing on the highway and get awesome fuel mileage...depends on what your needs are.
