The only gripe I have with my 25 Badland Sport is the lack of a power liftgate. Rather annoying really.
Has anyone toyed with the idea of retrofitting a power actuator?

Wouldn't be so bad if there were an external lift handle of sort

One thing I like about our 23 OB is manual liftgate versus our 18 Edge Titanium. We have a low garage door and can now open the lift gate with our garage open and can actually control it's opening height.

the wife's 2019 edge you can control the hight. you have to open it with the button, then after it is opened manualy adjust it to the hight you want it to. the next time it should open to that hight untill you change it.

Funny I know most people like a power lift gate but I always find them annoyingly slow. I actually prefer the manual lift gate.
It took me a long time to learn not to manually close the power lift gate on our Cherokee. I like the manual lift gate on the Bronco Sport.

Yes, I know and we did that. Set it to the level of being level when the garage door was closed, but couldn't use it with the garage door open, as there wasn't enough clearance. Not to mention the stupid auto open if your foot got too far under the rear bumper, causing the liftgate to automatically open. Then making it stop opening with a bunch of force. I did also havento replace the locking mechanism on it after it stopped working and had to pop an access panel to replace it

Yes, I had a 2019 Edge with the hands free power liftgate. I actually liked the feature when we were out and my hands were full and needed to open the liftgate. While it was parked in the garage the open liftgate hight was never a problem as long as the garage door was open. There was only a few inches between the back of the Edge and the closed garage door. Occasionally I would forget that I had the key fob in my pocket when I was walking behind the Edge to get to the trash can and my foot would be under the rear bumper and it would activate the liftgate. I would have to grab the liftgate and push down hard on it to make it stop before it hit the garage door. Do not miss that.
