If some sort of handle were designed into the liftgate, it would have made it a lot easier to open.

Non power is ok, just give me something to help pull it open.

I'm talking about something similar to the handles on the inside of the tailgate. Wouldn't need to be that big. Or make the button area deeper.

There's not much to grip onto in the button area to pull open the tailgate.

When its covered in wet sloppy snow its hard to get a grip sometimes. I keep my snow brush in the back so I have to get to it first.

yes it would have been nice if ford put a power lift option for the bronco sport. I have no issues, yes you get your hand dirty, but a push of the buttobn and a slight lift sends it up enough to use the inside handles topush it all the way up. but if you realy want there are power actuators you can get on amazon. I just don't want to have a second key fob just for the lift gate.

Yes, like even if there were just a couple little gas springs that would give it a little pop so you could get your hand right underneath the edge because those door any snow and it doesn’t seem to take much
I was thinking about this thread the other day when I was putting my lunch bag into the back on the way to work. I pop the button and just give it a little flick and it comes up tochest hight where I can use the inside handles to lift it the rest of the way. I was surprised about how little effort it took to get it from closed to chest hight. the only thing I do not like is that it is winter here so pushing the button leaves your fingers wet with dirty water.

Cool, I think I'll buy one. Hope I can get one in white. I'll post pics when it's on. 😁

I am 68 years old, and my wife is 65 years old. We never have a problem opening the hatch on her 2021 BS/BB. A power hatch IMHO is just more electronics to go bad.

Me too but I do wish the handle on the outside was easier to grab on to. When its packed with road slime in the winter and there is ice and snow making the door heavier as well as cold stiffening gas struts and hinges. A good grip goes a long way.
