Power Liftgate Actuator

The only gripe I have with my 25 Badland Sport is the lack of a power liftgate. Rather annoying really.
Has anyone toyed with the idea of retrofitting a power actuator?

This has been discussed here briefly before. Emerald struts company makes a kit for the kuga that may be similar enough to work for the sport. But its not cheap.

Funny I know most people like a power lift gate but I always find them annoyingly slow. I actually prefer the manual lift gate.

One thing I like about our 23 OB is manual liftgate versus our 18 Edge Titanium. We have a low garage door and can now open the lift gate with our garage open and can actually control it's opening height.

the wife's 2019 edge you can control the hight. you have to open it with the button, then after it is opened manualy adjust it to the hight you want it to. the next time it should open to that hight untill you change it.

No, not necessary. Just more electrical stuff to break. Rather have a manual liftgate.

It took me a long time to learn not to manually close the power lift gate on our Cherokee. I like the manual lift gate on the Bronco Sport.
