My dealer said they actually preferred to do the recall using mobile service to save shop space. I called them yesterday afternoon and had it done at 8 this morning in my driveway.

Joke's on me, I have a Mexican BEF-48H6-A. Does that get replaced or not?
Ford Pass app only lists 24S24, but I'll ask about the battery when they do the BCM work.
It’s does seem that you will get the AGM Battery. The workshop procedure for 25S02 lists a check: if not an AGM, replace battery with an AGM Battery. Other owners reported their non-chinese EFB was replaced under this recall with the AGM Battery.

Here’s my update, keystone cops style . . . called Ford Customer Service as per the dealer this morning. Ford says that since the battery was replaced at my expense I should contact the dealer. The dealer is authorized by Ford to process the refund. I’ll be parking myself in the service manager’s office Thursday for a chat. ? ?

Two brand new batteries thanks to the mobile service from a different dealership. I told the dealership I bought one of our BS’s from that I was going to take all our business to the other location because they are willing to do the battery swap with mobile service if they won’t and they refused. Bad business practice but it is what it is.

The Camel EFB battery recall applies to 2021-2023 Bronco Sport and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles.
You do not get a new battery.

The battery recall does not apply to 2024-2025 vehicles.
Some 2024 and 2025 owners have posted their vehicle came from the factory with the EFB (Battery). Ford’s procedure under Recall 25S02 is to replace an EFB with the AGM Battery. There may indeed be some that the Recall will apply to. These owners with an EFB (Battery) should visit their dealership for the answer.

I just had a visit from my local dealer's mobile service unit to complete work under this recall. According to the tech, the recall requires a battery test prior to replacement. If the battery tests good then no replacement is required. He told me only one of the two dozen or so batteries he's tested passed, and that was because the customer had replaced their OE battery two months ago. I asked him if the customer was reimbursed for purchasing the new battery and he said yes. So those of you in the unlucky position of having to replace your OE battery prior to parts availability should not despair.
