Bronco Sport safety recall involving battery and auto start/stop repaired at my condo by dealership. New battery and diagnostic performed to verify fix. Highly recommend this Ford onsite service, technician and dealership coordinator was excellent 🫶

Parts are now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to inspect and replace the 12V battery if necessary free of charge.
I wonder about the "if necessary" part.

If they open your hood and see anything other than a Ford branded AGM battery in there, it will be deemed a necessary part if the dealer is following Ford's instructions.

Will Ford reimburse me for the battery I paid almost $300 for last year before this recall admitted it was defective? And that damn auto stop stop (ASS is a good acronym for the stupid thing) function caused me to be stranded at a stop light after being jump started to take this piece of shit to the dealer that day. I've owned multiple Fords over my 77 years and this 2021 Bronco Sport will be my last
