Wireless Cell Phone Charging

Does the 2025 Bronco Sport Big Bend have a pad for cell phone charging that is wireless?? The research I have done says it does?? If so does the charging dock wireless do what it is supposed to do or not??

I been reading also about the heat problem from using them. I most likely will just plug mine in and I don't use it in the vehicle much anyway.

I have been using mine since I got it in September and it seems to work well although it is slower than a cord.
I hadnt noticed any heat until yesterday when my wife's iphone 13 was charging previously her iphone 11 never got hot.
I havent had any problem as far as placing the phone in the right location for it to begin charging.

I don’t know if the Big Bend has the wireless charging pad or not.

It wasn’t a big deal for me when shopping but my 2025 Badlands Sasquatch has one. It’s great just put my phone down on it and go no fiddling with cords. The wireless CarPlay has worked flawlessly so far too. Real game changer in my opinion.

I had a 2020 Subaru previously and my corded CarPlay connection would fail to work 10-15% of the time, it drove me crazy. CarPlay was painfully slow on the Subaru too.

The stock Big Bend does not have the wireless charging pad. It is included in the Convenience Package.

Ford website indicates 25 BB wireless charging is standard. I looked at a few when shopping and they all had it no matter the options. I ended up going with a 25 Badlands and it works perfect with my Galaxy S25. Charges as fast as wired, running Android Auto with Maps & Spotify while charging gets a bit warm, nothing dangerous. Great feature, I love it

they are only good for heating up your phone if you use car play or android auto. then the phone stops the charging because it gets to hot and so on.. I have to prop mine on the other side of the tray and plug it in so it charges way faster and doesn't get hot. with the sync 3 you have to plug in to use android auto, so you are charging the battery that way anyways so its kind of useless. when I wasn't using android auto it was more of a battery maintainer than a charger.

I've read a number of posts where the wireless system can be hit and miss, with several folks reporting prominent heat buildup. I can't imagine that's healthy for the phone long term. Others seem to have no problems. Will be a moot point in 2026 as Ford deleted BS wireless charging across all trims--and rain-sensing wipers and visor garage door buttons.

2024 BS work fine no issues my wife loves it drop and go. Phone does get warm but....not to touch..

2023 Badlands has it, but a bit sketchy, so I don’t use it.

I have it on my 25 BSBL Sas and like what others say above, it gets hot while using Android Auto. I find this when using directions from Google Maps. If I am not using the map for directions and not using media, then it is fine. However, then why use Android Auto.

So normally I plug in to charge using Android Auto and my wife uses the wireless charging.

Yes it does come standard with the wireless charger. However as some have mentioned my phone does get pretty warm using it, so I seldom use it.

My Iphone 13 does get a bit warm after being on it for at least 20
Minutes or so.
