Use Sport mode on hills if you’d like it to feel a bit less sluggish.
I’ve had my BS two months and have 11,732 Miles on it. I have a traveling job in summer. In the beginning I got 28-30mpg. Then I got adventurous and put 245/70/17 tires on it. Now my mileage is more like 24.5. Not what I wanted but you gotta pay to be cool?

Since your tires are 107% the stock diameter, you are actually travelling 107% further than your trip meter states. You're really getting 26.2 mpg. You are also going 107% faster than your speedo reports, so be careful.

First 6000 or so km, I managed 8.4 l/100km and since then, 7.9. I have gotten as low as 7.5l/100km. This is with AT tyres and bike racks on the roof.

1900 mi on it so far since May, so I believe I’m on my fifth tank. I’ve been pretty much right at 26.0 mpg on every tank. This has been all city driving (with short trips (10-15 mi at a time) except a half tank of interstate driving where I was over 28 mpg. I’m very impressed with my Big Bend.

12,000 miles on since January. Consistently getting 500+ miles and about 32mpg per tank. 55 mile commute so a lot of highway.

If you have a traveling job in the summer, why not wait to put those tires on so you can enjoy better gas mileage with all that driving you do?

I only have 285 miles on mine. Mostly been driving in Eco with a lot of CC driving. I can't get past 20mpg. Now that I have the BFGs on there I'm hitting 18.3. Cannot figure it out, I drive like a grandpa lol.

I dont have the 1.5L - I have 2.0L have 5300 miles on it getting 28.2, mostly highway driving
I filled up my second tank and got 29mpg on first 1/3 tank worth of highway driving, which is pretty impressive IMHO.

Old lady.

I'm getting 22 city and 29 highway.

Haven't broken 30 at any point, 29.9 is the best I've seen.

I upgraded my tires to Falken Wildpeak A/T trails (225/65R17) almost as soon as I got the car, so I don't have a before/after, but I can't imagine I've lost too much to such a small tire change (+3lb per corner.)
I don't even have my BB yet, but we need some data from the field.

Please post the MPG you are getting and the driving conditions. It also might be helpful to summarize your driving style from lead foot to old lady.

Thanks,

Tom

Never in a rush but average speed range between 65 and 80 mph. 32 mpg - mostly highway driving and rural roads - only 1.100 miles so far Eco/Normal driving modes.

We took our first longer trip. 2.5hr each way. All country roads, highway (through a few small towns without stop signs or lights), and interstate driving. Averaged 37mpg in normal mode with 1 stop on the way there. On the way back, we were in rush hour traffic and average dropped to 31.6 due to the stop and go traffic. After that and 2 stops on the way home, average was back up to 33.4 Very impressed as we don't due a lot of city driving so this should be our normal.
