Doesn't matter to us one way or another. With both my wife & I approaching retirement our 21 BS/BB will be the last new car we buy.

You know Rick, if mine is $10k more, I just might buy something else.
I think Ford Price Guarantee would protect your order.

The last new vehicle I've bought was a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Eco Diesel. Not sure if new will happen again.

I've had 5 vehicles since the JGC and all have been used about 1 to 1 1/2 years old including my BL.

Bring on the Tariffs. Ford like another company will just make it an excuse to raise prices. Don't be fooled. Look at the price increases just since 2021 without Tariffs.
Price increases have happened every year. It did not matter if the vehicle was built in detroit or kansas city or mexico.

exactly this! just like 3 years after the 19 virus folks were still using it as an excuse. heck even Best Buy and other reatil stores are still closing earlier than they used to before covid.

Prices may rise initially due to the tariffs but the free market will do what the free market does. Competition will make prices fall eventually IF the economy gets better. I also would like to assume that Americans will be bringing home more money and hopefully paying less taxes which will even out price increases as well.
There are alot of nuances to tariffs. Other countries have done them forever and it works well for them.
At the end of the day the idea is that this brings back more jobs IN AMERICA which everyone, regardless of politics, should celebrate.

Plan on getting 2025 Bronco Sport

Lisa, if when you placed your order, did you get some kind of printed paper with the price? If so, I would think you should be okay! I'm thinking the ones who order or buy when it's taken effect will be the ones who would have the price increase. I do agree though, I would get a different vehicle that's already on the lot or buy from a company that's built in the US!

hopefully push to create more american jobs
It could mean more jobs, but where would BS (and Mavericks) be built. Not enough capacity in U.S. currently. Maybe build new factory in U.S. in 3 or 4 years. Factor the supply chain where many parts come from Mexico and Canada. Regardless, labor costs in U.S. will always be higher which will increase cost. With vehicles like BS and Maverick which are price sensitive, any increases could mean Ford simply gets out of business for small vehicles, i.e. like Ford did with small cars.

Yes, but I don't know if Tariff's would count........
I'm not saying this would absolutely be the case, but tariffs should be covered as another business expense.

Of course there's nothing (aside from a class action lawsuit) to prevent Ford from claiming otherwise.

I seem to recall an instance in the past where to avoid tariffs, a number of car manufacturers would leave a part off in primary assembly, then attach it at the dealer or other facility, making “final assembly” in the US, thus avoiding the tariff.

Now, I don’t claim to know that this would be even remotely possible in the current instance, but for every rule, there’s always regulatory needles to be threaded.
Sprinter vans are (or were) that way -- they were fully assembled in Germany, then the rear axle was removed before they were shipped to America and reassembled.
