Anyone receive their Free Wheeling Bronco Sport yet?

The Freewheelin' is based on the Big Bend, so it has the 1.5L 3 cylinder. https://shop.ford.com/configure/broncosport/config/paint/Config[|Ford|Bronco%20Sport|2024|1|1.|.R9K..PM7...FWH.]

It's Tushy Tuesday! Let's see those rear photos

One undesirable side effect of stickers and license plate frames is that it seems to encourage tailgaters, who get closer to try and read the small print on your frame or stickers. I may be removing the rear license plate frame, and replacing it. A sticker declaring, "If you can read this...

Cactus Grey is not cactus grey....

My 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade teacher had blue hair, but only on one side of her head. She had a habit of swirling her pen on the side of her head...with the cap off of that Bic stick pen. A sweet old lady, she was.

It's Tushy Tuesday! Let's see those rear photos

Welcome to my Grand ILUSION (sic)! Yep, I know it's is spelled wrong, but NJ only allows up to 7 characters on its plates. When I was discussing the mistaken identity of the Bronco Sport with the big Bronco (Full size Bronco fans hate that moniker), my salesman became very animated, beyond...

Cactus Grey is not cactus grey....

That seems to be a feature of many of Ford's current color offerings. For example, orange appears in Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red appears under certain orientations to a bright sun.

    Under CMS storage containers

It all depends on what you are carrying and what you are trying to protect, if you want or need a sealed container. For example, in the winter, I have a blanket or blanket throw that I have in an enclosed container in the cargo area. Year round, in another container, I have a roll of paper...

    Under CMS storage containers

Everyone's needs are different, I agree. I had a taller storage bin in my previous cars, and I wanted something for my Bronco Sport that fit under the CMS. I struck out shopping at local stores in finding a bin that was 9" tall. Sharing here gives other folks options for their storage needs...

Is there one option that you think is a useless one?

Yes, indeed. If the Molle straps on the seat backs are used for anything except the smallest items, they infringe on the already too tight rear seat leg room. I rarely have rear seat passengers, and have my window breaker/seat belt cutter there, and a tape measure.

Is there one option that you think is a useless one?

The rain sensing wipers don't seem very sensitive, unlike the sensors on my '04 BMW X3. I'm back to using manual wipers, and that's OK by me.

Is there one option that you think is a useless one?

Not an option, but a useless design element: the shallow cubby area at the left and right rear end of the cargo area. A higher lip or panel to hold small items in place would have been real nice, Ford. On my '17 Escape, I kept my window ice scraper there. On the BS, my ice scraper just...

    Under CMS storage containers

Here are some shots with the storage containers and CMS in alternate various positions (full flat, folded, vertical divider, CMS removed) to give a good idea of the fit of these storage containers in the cargo area of the Bronco Sport.

I prefer a sealed container, and don't like the idea of a liner, which may crack in time.

2 Months after Purchase of 2024 Bronco Sport Badlands

Many cars did not come with the hood side weatherstripping. Whether it is a trim specific deletion or supply chain limitation is impossible to say. My neighbor and her parents both have '23 Big Bends and neither has the hood side weatherstrips. My '24 BS BL did NOT come with the hood side...

What's up with the light up numbers on the side of my door?

2 things I've noticed on '24 Badlands orders: no DIO keypads and few Co-Pilot 360+ ordered, whether retail or stock orders. When my car was delivered to the dealer, there were 2 large boxes in the back seat: the cross bars, and the keypad option. I inspected the car before the DIO's were...

What's up with the light up numbers on the side of my door?

AFIK, the full size Bronco's keypad is still a stick-on device. The Bronco Sport dealer installed keypad on the 2024 is the same integrated in the pillar keypad, as the factory installed keypads on the '21 - '23 models, based on my own experience. The factory saves build time by having the...
