I'm curious if Ford realizes that and has a better battery in the '23 model. Probably not but maybe in the '24 model.
My '23 battery numbers.

Coming up on a year of ownership on our '22....no battery issues here.
I hope that happens with my BS. There are problems with BS batteries here. How many with thousands of BS owners that aren't on this forum are having problems? My dealer service told me there has been only a few. A few here and a few there is a lot.

I had a ton of battery related issues that seemingly went away the more I drove the car. I was alternating cars when I had more than one and the BS just couldn't hold a charge over a couple days and would shut down several of the interior electronics at random while driving (early in the morning and late at night being the worst). Now that I am using that as my only mode of transportation I haven't really seen those issues pop up.

I will be writing down that AGM number though for when I do replace the battery.

My BS sits and is on a battery maintainer but one sign of any trouble, even minor, the AGM will be installed.

That's definitely the way to do it, I'm in an apartment complex with no outlets in the deck so I really just need to bite the bullet on the AGM.

Me too! BS-BL delivered in 04/21 and I'm still on original battery (here's where I knock on wood) and going along just fine. Mine must have been made at the right time as I've not been in the service department but for routine servicing since delivery.

If you're parking it outdoors, a small solar panel on your dash plugged into your cigarette lighter will keep your battery from discharging. The smallest ones won't actually charge it, but it will prevent discharge. Usually, the Start/Stop feature is the first to go. If it quits working, you know you need a charge. Do a forum search so you make sure you're connecting the charger before the shunt which measures watts going into and out of the battery. The battery management system could shut down features thinking it is a low battery if the charge doesn't go through the shunt.

On my Superduty, which has 2 batteries and which I seldom drive, I have a 20 watt panel and a charge controller. It starts up every time.

I believe my son was told he needed two batteries replaced in his 4 year old Jeep in NJ. One for the start/stop.

Since someone mentioned owner's manual, I want to add this interesting little gem taken directly from the manual. I know some vehicles have odd requirements, but this right here is the oddest I have ever seen. Page 297 >Maintenance> Changing the 12V battery.
After battery replacement, or in some
cases after charging the battery with an
external charger, the battery management
system requires eight hours of vehicle sleep
time to relearn the battery state of charge.
During this time, your vehicle must remain
fully locked with the ignition switched off

When a new battery is needed, the owners manual suggests: BAGM-48H6-760 (AGM)
Such a wealth of information in the owners manual...

Who'd of thought?
