Ours is a daily driver. Brand new in 2021. Zero battery issues.

Zero issues with the Bronco Sport at all, in fact. Wife loves it.

Some of the 2021 BS's didn't have an AGM battery from the factory as they should have. I suspect by now most of them have failed and been replaced. Mine died at 18 months. It seems to me that start/stop takes a toll on batteries. In hot climes running the ac and headlights at every stop. I turn mine off first time it dies, if I haven't done it when I get in.

Our MY 21 BS-OBX and MY 22 Ranger each have a hard wired connection for the charger below. It’s the rebranded one Ford sells. Just remember to connect B- aka Negative to chassis GND. Ran the connection point up near the window. Management aka The Wife has only backed out once without unplugging and now I wrap the wire thru the door handle.

I use my BS a few times a month and go this route with a wire quick disconnect. I have to look for a way to get a quick disconnect at the grill. In a quick look, there's no opening. The shutters kill that idea.

When my wife drove our truck daily and I used the block heater for cold mornings, I used to hang a "Danger Tag" on the steering wheel to remind the driver (myself included!), to unplug. Cheers!

I haven't hard wired my CTEK unit yet but it's on my to-do list. :)

What a lot of people don't understand is that the battery is covered under Ford's 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I'd be interested to know how many of the people here, and elsewhere, with failed batteries simply bought a new battery. In any case, if your battery fails, that's covered by warranty. I don't know about mileage, but I don't believe anyone has a BS old enough to be out of the 3 year warranty.

Maybe because the warranty is 3 years OR 36k miles. There are plenty of folks that have exceeded 36k miles prior to the 3 year mark (putting it out of warranty). Just a guess on my part though. Cheers!

I am one of the persons that had battery issues. The number of people that have actually posted about BS battery/electrical issues on this board is actually quite low in relation to the number of registered members.

I use then on everything that has a battery, right down to the riding lawn mower.
