Hello,

From my research I see there are a few different A-Pillar light brackets. The main difference I can see is that they differ on the light position. I have seen some A-Pillar lights pretty much right in line with the pillar, others that stick out pretty far (similar to a police spotlight), and another that seems to bring the lights inward within the perimeter of the A-Pillar, which I don't like. The RangerLifts brackets seem to stick the lights out too far, in my opinion. Stage 3 motorsports is about the fitment I am looking for. The Baja Designs light bracket looks good too, but it is hard to find good pictures with them installed.

Does anyone have any pictures of what they went with, and can give any input? I would prefer them to be pretty much exactly in line with the A-Pillar, not too far in or out. Thanks in advance!

I think any of the ones you mentioned would be of good quality. Just stay away from the go rhino ones. Someone on the forum bought them and they didn’t fit. They were labeled wrong, the holes had to be drilled out, and the bends were wrong.

That was me. I got some go rhino brand ones online somewhere from a link that was recommended as an option on here and did a write up of how I had to make them fit.

Then bought some HRG brackets that were the same style but needed no modification. Slightly thinner material but they are still sturdy. but hang over the hood like the first ones I had.

Changed lights to some baja designs and got their brackets. Good positioning to the side towards the A pillar and off from hanging over the hood. But are thinner material than the HRG and have a little shake on rougher roads or higher speeds. About $80.

I can probably update with pictures.

I would also like to see what else is out there for other options as well.

These are the hrg brackets with their pod lights (which I really don’t like, I’m new to ditch lights and didn’t realize I don’t want spotlights I want flood lights so will be changing them eventually)
They fit great and are sturdy. No real complaints.

I went with the HRGs as well for brackets. Mine shake a little, but only over 70 MPH which I rarely do and then it's because I'm not paying attention! The lights are "Hobo-Fright" LEDs which light up well. I also have "Hobo-Frights" on the bumper. I [might] have $250 in the entire setup including rather nice wiring haleness (complete with relays & switches) which were also from "Hobo-Fright". Note; if you go this route, you will need 15A fuses if you're like normal ppl and wire in sets rather than individually.

@Chiefthepup nice set of pics. i couldn't find any i took of when i had the HRG installed on the red big bend.

ill try to remember to get some of the ones baja designs sells

@Black Rob you think you could get some shots of your ford ranger lifts brackets?

my original goal was to not spend $135 plus shipping for those but I'm now on my 3rd set of brackets and a total of around $180, so that worked out well.

Thanks for the pictures and responses. Sorry for the delayed response as I have my login saved on my work computer and can't remember my password right now at home :cwl:

From the video posted, it does look like the RangerLifts option is too far out on the sides in my opinion. From what I can tell so far, I think the HRG's or the Baja Designs may fit best what I am looking for. The Diode Dynamics looks pretty good too, but it looks like it sticks up and inch or so higher than the others. On the other hand, I do a bit of highway driving and regularly travel 80+ mph, so the movement gives me slight concern.

Here are my fordrangerlifts brackets. They get the light pod out of the drivers view and the light doesn’t shine on the hood. Definitely no flex or shaking. They are solid.

This is the best looking light set up for this area imo. I like how they are positioned out of the way.

god that video is hard to watch. had to go to YouTube and read description to see that those were the ford ranger lifts brackets since they didn't say it at the beginning. then mute the video and skim through trying to get a good look at them installed with terrible shaky camera angles.

ford ranger lifts website actually has decent pictures of their brackets.
I think the initial reason I didn't buy those besides price was I was also factoring the website design and layout into account.

@Black Rob how tall are those brackets? from base of hood to mounting hole

I do like the quality of FordRangerLifts but unfortunately the fitment there is hard to tell. In the video posted, which I had also seen prior to this, it looks like they stick out a bit further than on your photo. Not sure if might just be the angle because you can see them fairly straight on in the video and they seem to stick out.

ideally, I was hoping to get them about an inch more inward relative to how it looks in your photo.

I agree if anyone could get better pics of the ford ranger lifts bracket would be good.

Sorry for the late response. Here's the ones from BAJA

I like that they are out of the way but not out in between the mirror and the A pillar like the FRL ones look to be.

Unfortunately like I said before they are a thinner metal and have a bit of shake at 70+ mph or on rough roads. Which is unfortunate.
