Trying to find a lighter color and/or machined surface in an off road looking wheel hasn't been very successful that fits my taste and my vehicle.@wireman first and foremost, thank you for your service. The machine finish is still very popular. That gives you the silverish look.
In reading through these posts, it's obvious as to why there are different rim styles. Different strokes for different folks.

Now those I like. Love the chrome which is why I'm not overly fond of the original 17" BB wheels I have now.I don't think any of the "stock" wheels are especially bad. The only thing wrong with them is that everyone has the same ones. That's why I run my Chrome Verde mags whenever the weather permits. I mount snow tires on my "stock" wheels for winter use.
