Ford can claim these are from tariffs all they want, but they also increase their prices every year at the beginning of model year and mid year as well. The price increases that have been documented in this thread are on par with what they have been for the past 4 years on the BS and Maverick. I’m not saying some if this cost isn’t tariff driven, but these increases in my mind do not reflect anything other than the regular yearly bump they keep piling on.

Yep but then later when (if) they raise prices based on tariff increases it’ll be even higher at that time because they already put in this mid year bump of $2k.. clever

Greedy is the word I would use.
Funny, I don’t recall the price decreases when they sent stuff off shore to save money. Maybe they just kept that money! Ford did say they were going to eat 1.5 billion in profits this year. We shall see.

Here we go…

“Ford is hiking prices on three of its Mexico-produced models effective May 2, becoming one of the first major automakers to adjust sticker prices….

Prices on the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV, Maverick pickup and Bronco Sport will increase by as much as $2,000 on some models, according to a notice sent to dealers reviewed by Reuters.”

too bad the “free speech” administration would consider a “political” attack to list these in the window sticker…

Amazon was determined to do add…and honestly it’s the right thing to do.

as a customer you want to know if you are paying tariffs on which vehicles and by how much….

Ford has plenty of inventory before tariffs hit.

First trade deal is being announced today. Others will follow now that the ball is rolling. I would take the over that if prices increase, it will not be due to tariffs. Just corporate greed. Best thing is don’t panic and do not over pay for anything.

Politics are politics so I'll try to be as neutral as I can on this.

Ford is a for profit company that exists to make money. They are not the only car manufacturer in the world, it is a competitive market.

NAFTA made the US automaker market heavily integrated, and that will punish vehicles manufactured in Mexico/Canada (beyond US manufactured vehicles using foreign source parts). Every time the part crosses the border it gets tariffed.

Anyways, all we can do is try to avoid rewarding the price increases. If we do then that sets a proverbial high water mark of new prices that never goes down even if there are trade deals.

(Ford offering employee pricing on cars due to tariffs was not out of generosity or the goodness of their hearts; it's because Ford has a ton of cars on the lot.)

NAFTA got scrapped in 2020 and was replaced by the USMCA which provided stronger protections for US industries.

mid year increases are usually really small, $200….not 2k…we will see another increase for sure though. Prolly another $2k.

we will also see increases across the line up…

but apparently building your car in the UK gets you into the US market tariff free - who gets that? 😂😂😂😂

Only the first 100,000 units, which is pretty much all they import in a typical year. This is against nearly 16 million vehicles sold in the US annually. Works out to couch change.

This is not true. Price increases each year and mid year are always more than $200. Here is a thread talking about prices and I didn't even dive into the option price increases.

https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/bronco-sport-price-increases-in-a-few-days.5147/

If you can show me $200 mid-year price increases for the Maverick or Bronco Sport please do.
