They see the writing on the wall. EVs are the latest attempt in securing a future for their business. So they'll lobby the governments and blow billions on marketing. Just to keep everyone trapped in the past with car dependency and wasted resources.
Zero interest in big bronco. The sport is already plenty big for me.
We don't need this arms race of increasingly larger cars on the road in the guise of "safety"
We had a Chinese built EV on sale for a couple years now. Polestar (Volvo ((Geely)) is made in China and doesnt qualify for the tax break. China makes more cars than all other other countries combined and locally they have 30% market share for EVs. It's silly to assume they don't know what they...
Nah when the fuel injector goes bad it feels like a damn tractor. Pretty funny. Cylinder deactivation you can't really tell when it's happening. Limp mode is like Eco mode+++ the ecu limits your throttle inputs heavily.
That's weird but orange/yellow lights are safer because it doesn't mess with your night vision adaptation as much. Cop cars have red interior lights just like submarines. Rally cars have yellow tints on their headlights for night stages. It takes 10 minutes for optimal night vision and stuff...
Maybe 20 years ago. Now it's guydudebros in their lifted trucks with stadium lights on their football sized grill 10 feet behind the back of my head.
Bright headlights is becoming my obsession now that I find it almost painful to drive.
That being said I dont know why making headlights not as...
oh wow the interior big screen tv is a deal breaker. i hate how bright the interiors get now. it's dangerous. doesn't let your eyes adjust to night time driving.
I didn't feel like Bronco Sport is in the same category as most of these. it's a smaller vehicle. I would definitely dismiss everything except the dodge hornet as too big for me. Our car is all butch and rugged but it competes with Mini countryman, fiat 500L, Hyundai kona, Kia seltos, Toyota...
I'm on the side that thinks we should have less cars. EVs are not a perfect solution to all the problems that cars have created over the past 100 years. Personally I would still prefer a small displacement gas engine in a light weight vehicle.
Bronco sport looks better. I appreciate the utilitarian aesthetics. Also, I have zero interest in off roading or being in a big car and the big bronco soft tops look straight up terrible.
The engine is all aluminum and there is a lot of aluminum used in suspension where you'd usually find steel. The hood is alum as well. There isn't much mvh treatment either.
