Oh man, I am jut seeing this thread...I hope this isn't an issue..the whole debacle with the Escape fenders paint bubbling on rear panels and Ford saying it wasn't defect makes me worried. I have one of the first round of the 2022 models and if this starts to happen, I will never buy a Ford again sadly. I was pissed at how bad my Escape rusted out..

Found a small chip on the side of my car today. A bummer since i’ve only started driving this car since January, and I don’t remember my Subaru Crosstrek chipping at all in the 7 years I drove it.

What year was your Escape? Mine is a 2006 and I share the outside air through the passenger side rear wheel well. Of course that’s after my shock ended up inside the car!

dealer told me today I must have used my snow brush and scrapped along the trim causing the damage I’m having, pathetic service, seriously considering taking a loss and just getting rid of mine. I’ve had 4 big problems in 3 months

I have the exact same chip in the same place. Did the dealership ever do anything for you in the end? Out of curiosity do you ever put your wipers up if expecting snow or freezing rain?

I have a small chip where the headlight is rubbing. I'm bringing it in today for the oil separator recall and will mention the chip. Let's see what they say.

The chips above the wiper looks like it’s from someone pulling the wiper arm up. That doesn’t look like a rock chip as it is a jagged rub/chip mark. Bet the arm lines up with that damage.

I had paint chips/rubbing off right below both taillights.

The tolerances are so tight, along with the sharp edge of the lights, made the paint come off on those two little painted pieces.

Dealer requested approval and Ford obliged.

In 2015 we leased a white platinum 2016 Ford Fusion. After a week or so of driving we noticed paint problems virtually everywhere: front, back, sides and roof. The paint was peeling off, bubbling and chipping.

The dealer repainted the entire car and fixed several other quality issues.

After several weeks they agreed to buy out the lease and get us into another Fusion, a 2016 in ruby red.

The ruby red fusion had zero paint issues and none of the quality issues. They had been manufactured around the same time but at different plants. The white platinum at Flat Rock and the ruby red at Hermosillo. The difference in assembly quality was noticeable.

In 2019 we leased a white platinum Escape Titanium, assembled in Louisville, and have had zero paint issues.

I really hope the 22 Bronco Sports are painted correctly.
