Hey there! Hearing you have paint issues with your new Bronco is something we definitely want to look into. Could you please send over a private message with your VIN so we can get started?
Is this an open invitation to any owner with this issue?

Mine is a year old now. Cactus gray. No chips fortunately. It does look like someone in assembly isn't doing a very good job from the pictures posted!

Thanks to this thread I was on the look out for these paint chips when I looked mine over prior to delivery. Mine had one chip by passenger side front around grill like seen in many of these posts. General manager sent it to body shop while I waited and they touched it up. I was happy with the touch up. General manager did offer to repaint the entire panel if I wanted and that was not something I wanted done.

Mine is June 22 build date and the chip looked like it happened during assembly. General manager was like why did they let that leave factory like that?

Because it's Ford and a vehicle makes no money in the factory.
Yup. Imagine telling a customer who has already been waiting MONTHS for their car that they have to wait longer to deal with a factory paint/assembly quality issue. :curse::brokenheart:

I've joined the club, crap. I was keeping my eye open for the issue and found it today. Ford dealer took pictures and will get to me on course of action. Did anyone get a resolution?

I reached out to them, but because I'm in Canada was redirected to contact the Ford Canada social media peeps... hopefully they'll have an answer for us Canucks!!
My local dealer stated that they have the go ahead from Ford to fix the issue (wouldn't expect any other decision). They are great to deal with btw. It's to go into the body shop for 2-3 days. What the heck takes this long for the most minor chips? I asked if this issue is on Fords radar and he said no? really??? after seeing posts on this web site I thought that this was more of a wide spread issue. I guess a few reports don't make it to a "action" bulletin at Ford.
Anyone else have a resolution from their dealer?

They might be removing trim and sanding panels down and repainting. Then have to reinstall trim.

Just picket mine up, took 2 days, all under warranty again. Looks good, they added some spacers to the light assembly to make it flush but not touch.
Does it look any different with the spacers? That sounds intriguing, would love to see a pic to compare.

Oops though I added them. It does not look any different other that there is a bigger gap, but maybe 1/8 of an inch. I am not the best photographer and I'm not in my garage with the shop light but hope you can see it. Drivers side but passenger is the same.

Those are great, thanks for doing that. I hope that solution works! Doesn't seem like a very complicated fix.

Update: I went to the body shop (excellent one btw) and they underestimated the time frame. It's more like 4-5 days. They use a labour guide on performing this job. A lot of disassembling goes on. Most of the cost is in labour and little for the paint and finish (total job is expensive).

The body shop advised that thers is not a fix for the problem as per Ford. They are re-painting and adding a clear coat film to assist in a repeat from happening again.
