I got my KU paint pen from the dealer ... but could have bought the exact one from a number of online sources (maybe even quicker delivery)

Would love to see results!
Sorry, too late; but it was perfect!

A small rock?? hit my aluminum hood (I didn't hear or feel it) but it gouged the paint down to bare metal and white undercoat & dented the hood.

I took it for paintless dent repair at the service center and supplied my own KU pen, purchased with Ford Pass points, and promptly added the hood deflector ... so the spot is covered-up.

FWIW, the Service Center suggested I self repair / touch-up my paint that's chipping where the headlights rub. Saying a dealer repair would require spray, and possible orange peel, etc.
I'm thinking that's the other kind of BS.

So I was getting ready to wash my car and doing a few spot cleans the other day. Noticed some paint chips in areas that are not even high traffic areas. You can see the two paint chips on the front surrounding the lights are in identical spots on both sides, and then surrounding the back left tail light. These are on top of the chips on the hood that happened in the first month, which I just assumed was due to highway driving. Now I’m not so sure and believe that my bs badlands was just a crappy paint job. Not sure if I’m going to take it in and deal with the hassle or just use a paint pen but pretty upsetting to say the least.

Same thing has happened to my BS 2021 Area 51. I’m fighting between the SurfaceCare warranty and the Ford Collision shop. They say it’s not environmental and it’s not defective. I have 9 areas in weird places. Very frustrated.

I had a 2016 white platinum Fusion with similar paint defects. It was literally peeling off in places, specifically on corners and whatnot.

The whole car was repainted. It was a big job. I think the work order stated $6,000.

I don’t know if it was a warranty repair because I was originally told Ford refused to cover it. My dealer simply said it would be taken care of.

I just purchased a 21 outerbanks last week and I noticed paint chipping away at the corner of both headlights as well. I brought it to the dealership and they made a note of it on my account but said at this point there’s really nothing they can do about it. They said if enough people complain about it, Ford might issue a recall. They also said it would be in my best interest to take photos of it for my own records and to bring it back again shortly before my warranty expires if there’s anything they can do about it at that point.

If you live in Toronto I would not leave the metal bare. At the very least put some kind of sealant on it to protect from the road salt.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

OMG, This defect in B&A has been going on for a year and a half. Ford is in the toilet on quality. What a shame. Farley has destroyed this company in just a few short years. SMFH. Ford drops to 4th from the bottom and lincoln 2nd from the bottom on JDP dependability that was just released. We are now in Land Rover territory.

Please, fire this guy fast and get someone like Alan Mulally back in charge.

When I get my BS OBX in, I am going to have to take it apart and trim all the plastic pieces that are causing this issue. It's like I am living in crazy land. The 1980s are calling, they want their quality back.

I am having the same issue as others with the grill rubbing paint off. Ford needs to take care of this! Mine took a year to show up visibly. Took it to my dealer. They are going to fix it. Word needs to get out to BS owners about this so they can check around their grill. I hand wash my own vehicle so thank goodness I spotted it.

UPDATE: Dealer lied and is now saying they will not fix it. I am having to pay out of pocket to get this fixed. Collision guy says he will fix it where it will not rub anymore. This is crazy! Spread the word to check this spot by your grill.
