Glad I’m not the only one. It’s so bad, and not normal. When I told the dealer they only said it’s the quality of the pads that were provided for the recall. I don’t think people understand how bad it truly is. Think detailing your wheels, and the next day it looking like they were submerged in...
That is correct, I didn’t expect the sound to go away but they were certain it would. I just dropped it off now so they can change the rear pads now - but they’ll be looking at the front pads again now because there’s been a significant amount of brake dust every 2 days. Hopefully the quality...
Update. The new front pads for the recall are junk. Brake dust all over my rims. I’m livid. I want new pads again and still waiting for my new rear pads
Update, pads replaced Thursday, Friday morning the sound continued. Called corporate and they said it’s within 12 month/18000 mile warranty on the pads to make a claim at the dealership and it’ll get replaced (rear pads)
This is a common thing. I’m getting my pads replaced tomorrow for the recall and the local dealer believes this will solve the issue. I do not. I believe it’s the rear brakes 🤷🏻‍♂️. We’ll see however. I have a case with corporate already on file. Just in case.
Thank you for clarifying I thought I was losing my mind looking at some of the replies at first lol. So hopefully this fixes that sound. I’ll let you guys know- I get my new pads next week.
For us it happens first thing in the morning. So I’d probably have to leave it overnight so they could hear it. It’s absolutely not your typical moisture noise though.
My wife’s is a December 2020 build as well. It doesn’t seem like they have those in that letter though? Mine is a September 2021 build. Both have the very awful reverse FOG HORN sound with braking
Both my wife and I have bronco sports. She’s owned hers for 8 months, me 3 weeks. She’s at 9000 miles, I’m at 400 miles. Both vehicles do it. I live in the northeast, in SE PA just north of Philly. None of my cars were ever this loud or frequent, and neither was her last 2018 explorer. Im...
Here’s to hoping your dealer honors your pricing. I was a 3/13 order. I pick it up tomorrow at noon and get a day with it before going to Arizona. Life could be worse I guess.
My final attempt will be to ask for the dealer to provide some free service at the dealer, oil changes, or something...
Dealer isn’t budging on passing on the new price to me. Unfortunate. I can’t walk away from the deal either as I know it’s still the best deal I can get.
