Reading through this thread it sounds like the HRG lift may not cause the “clunking” issues that come with other lift kits (ie., Rough Country). Can any users of the HRG kit confirm?
Yes I can confirm this I had a ready lift installed which clanked , replaced it with hrg and no clanking. Hrg has the cut out for the top of the strut(hat). That is where the clanking comes from,it compresses the top to the spacers.

Anyone know why HRG’s website isn’t working? Or am I doing something wrong. Lol.

This is correct, it was not just rc lifts it was also ready lift and a few others. I had this exact problem with ready lift. The pictures show the issue the green spacer (hrg) has cut out for top of strut(strut hat) the black one readylift does not. This is what causes the clanking, the strut hat has no flex because it is compressed to the spacer

Also for anyone installing any of these lifts. You should grind the rear of the strut down a bit, whether the instructions say to or not. Normal driving will be fine, but flexing can cause it to cut into the axle scoring it. Is an easy 2 min piece of mind.

That is helpful. I'm getting ready for my install.
I still haven't spent a lot of time under the vehicle. Do you know where a good central lift point is and where I can put jack Sands? I can see them in the backgound of the instructions and the stands look pretty close together.
I'm sure I could figure it out eventually but if you have a quick description.

Bought the HRG lift kit and unfortunately, 9 out of 10 shops will not install it, even though it’s new, here in Arizona. I have one shop willing to do it, Desert Rat, for $790. The dealership quoted me $650 a year ago. But that has likely changed. So still debating my options. I know the struts have to be shaved a little.

I haven't installed my HRG kit yet, but I've watched the video. It seems to me that they're charging very high hourly rates for that installation. I reckon the market will bear it there. Sorry it's so high for you.

I'm going to tell my wife that I saved $800 installing it myself.

Its probs 2-4 hours with hand tools and jack, etc plus alignment. Most places are gonna charge an hour a corner to install. Shop rates are 120+ an hour. Even on the low end be about 600 with alignment tax etc. or 100-150 bucks for an alignment after you do yourself

That makes sense. I wish I could do it at home, but I’m in a spot where I can’t right now. The market for everything in AZ is nuts. They sound like they are $150ish too high, but they know I have limited options. ? Anyone have any advice to pass on to the installer? I did buy the additional camber bolts. The biggest reason for me installing these, besides aesthetics, is to gain the extra 1.5 inches for the rear lift gate height so my head doesn’t hit overlanding. ?

If you were in the northeast. I’d say bring it by and we can throw it on. Check the local section or FB groups that may be by you. Someone might do for you for half what a shop charges at least.

Got mine done and five Falcon AT3W for a decent price. Including Equipment, labor and tax.

Got it done at San Tan Ford Customs. At the San Tan Ford dealer. Got my bronco sport there too for sticker in nov or dec. traded an OB for it.

Thanks for the info! That’s where I bought mine too. Got my BB there the weekend right before they jacked up the prices $5,000. I got the color I wanted, but not the trim. :/ I was lucky to even secure that at the time. I still love it though. I‘ve talked to Josh in aftermarket accessories a few times, maybe I’ll try again.
