If they open your hood and see anything other than a Ford branded AGM battery in there, it will be deemed a necessary part if the dealer is following Ford's instructions.
That's good to know, my battery is a regular acid battery, not the AGM type. My Ford Pass App states, Recall: 12v battery inspection incomplete.

Another owner posted on this Forum the country of origin (China) for his battery was only on the side of the battery and not visible until battery was removed

EFB not sure where it's made
@Colonel Angus Even though you reported not getting the battery recall notice (Recall 25S02), if you show the dealership you have the EFB, it is very likely they will replace your EFB (battery) with the AGM Battery per Recall 25S02 no matter where your EFB was made.

The procedure posted earlier for 25S02 only looks if the battery is an EFB and doesn’t check for country of origin.

I'm going to call my dealer and see what they say. Maybe I can have the Mobil Service come to the house for the battery replacement.

I, like most first gen (2021) owners, have already needed to replace the stock battery. So I’ve got a recall but am out hundreds already. Would they replace the replacement battery with a new one?

Yep, talk to your dealer, mine said they would be trying to get my money refunded when the recall became real. I’m going to hit ā€˜em up today.

Went to dealer today. They said since battery was replaced I need to contact Ford directly to request refund. Dealer gave me the right phone number to call, and fresh copy of my repair receipt. I’ll post after I see where Ford and I go from here.

My dealer refuses to use mobile service for this recall stating they have to do an inspection first. What a joke.

I just switched service to the other dealer in town who will come and do it all in one appointment with mobile service.
