it looks like the new and improved is extended upward and bent downward
makes more sense to elevate to max level
might pick up vent hose myself for switcheroo
catch it before it becomes an issue

Your drawing reminds me of the famous T-REX cactus. In fact would be better if the vent hose resembles this..

If you decide to install the new RDU vent hose (aka RDU drain tube), a Ford mechanic stated: “The repair is rerouting (RDU) drain tube (new part) and changing fluid.”

Update on my original post.
After much frustration and my "plan" due to inaction, I called the GM of the dealership. He was not available (no surprise) so I left a detailed VN. No response. I jumped on the BBB website (they are members) and filed a detailed complaint of my debacle. Lo and behold, the GM called me and apologized- should be a warranty, etc. "The check will be cut today." That was last week, and we shall see. I am holding off on alerting the BBB of resolution, doing a scathing Google review, small claims court, etc. (my plan for lack of resolution) until the check arrives. By the way, NOTHING from Ford customer service, despite case numbers, three reps, and a supervisor. The GM said "the system failed" because according to him, the GM should have been notified by Ford CS if the case was escalated.
Not happy (lost trust) with dealer, and very disappointed with everything Ford related on the PV Customer Service side.

Hey Ford Motor Company, are you listening? Everyone reading this forum knows an FMC rep monitors posts here. It would go a long way toward improving customer confidence in the brand if you would actually comment on cases like this. It's inconceivable to those who purchase a vehicle from Ford, a company that widely touts its nationwide network of dealer service departments, how a situation such as that described by OP can occur. I don't believe it's unreasonable that people who purchase one of your vehicles expect their warranty claims will be dealt with competently and fairly by one of the service departments who represent you. Please help us to understand.

I have a 2021 First Edition I bought used last summer. I need to go out and inspect mine. No noises coming from my RDU so far. The TSB spells out the steps involved.

Hello,
after i replace the vent hose and drain the RDU, do i need to mix friction modifier to the new RDU fluid before filling it back up? I saw someone on here mix in friction modifier to the new oil. I got the motorcraft SAE 75W RDU oil from the dealership and it says "formulated with synthetic base stocks, friction modifiers, anti-wear and extreme pressure additives..."
please advise! Thank u

I'm no expert but I believe the oil that Ford supplies should do the job. I think someone was trying to improve the recommended fluid. When it comes to oils and additives there are many opinions. I plan on changing my RDU oil.

Had mine in today to inspect RDU noise. Vent hose on backorder could be next week or 6 months ...they have no idea. "Go ahead and drive it you'll be covered".....just WOW!

Same story here. Tech confirmed the noise, is going with the TSB and ordered the parts. $282 for parts and labor on the TSB vent hose that when combined with a fluid change, hopefully will fix.

rubber hose extensions
that's all it amounts to
recall similar modification applied to high pressure fuel pump leak
sorry mr kong
we'll put you on a list
that response was almost a year in the making for a remedy
these rubber hoses
rare as a unicorn
kong solution
remove terminal screen from existing hose
add rubber hose purchased from corner hardware store
sleeve and shrink wrap connection point of old to new
insert screen into new section of rubber hose
good to go until parts come in
