I am curious how often you adjust the temperature in your BS? I have 3 Fords (Mustang Escape and F150) with the controls in the screen and over the last year I do not think I have moved the temperature more then three times. I like 76 Deg across all of my Fords and they seem to be consistent. The Heated and Ventilated seats are easer to control on the screen because they are much higher in the line of sight for me. I do like to have a volume control even though 98% of the time I use the steering wheel controls but do use the Power Button in the knob. I do not like the Locking Diffs on the touch screen that the Ranger Raptor has I like the button the Bronco has.
I know this isn’t directed towards me however I definitely adjust the temp a good amount while driving. I always start off at max ac to get super chilly then will change the temp/ strength throughout the drive…

Admittedly, I don’t fiddle with temp a ton, but it does get adjusted depending on the day.. I’m in New England and there can be pretty big temp swings from day to day. But as mentioned (for me) doing anything on the screen, I find really distracting from driving.

I don’t mind glancing at the screen but to have to scan a busy looking screen and fiddle with the touch screen just isn’t for me. I much prefer the buttons and dials… and a quick glance at the screen to see what the settings are at. I think a reliable voice command system will be much preferred.

I rarely adjust my temp control, but my “better half” adjusts hers a lot. She’s not great with the “new tech” and twirls the physical knob with the readout a few times when ever we’re out-and-about.

I'm aware of that, but horsepower only matters in racing. Torque matters on trails and Chevy gets the same as the Ranger Raptor with s smaller, less complex motor. I'm weak on Ford v-6 twin turbo engines.
The Chevy Engine is only .3 Liters Smaller and the Torque is good but the Horsepower is weak IMO. . So you have driven both the Ranger Raptor and Colorado ZR2 On Trails to back up your claim? The Rangers 2.3 Eco Boost beat all the other Small Trucks in the TFL Test i watched in acceleration testing including that Colorado with the HO Version of the engine you're talking about. So it doesn't impress me much couldn't even beat a 2.3 4 Cylinder Ranger. So Torque doesn't matter in racing that's what gets you off the line in heavy vehicles? And wee're talking 4wd trucks that can be launched in 4wd.Sorry but i'll take 405 Horsepower and 430 lb.ft. of Torque over 310 Horsepower and 430 lb.ft. of Torque any day of the Week.

Man, Ford has been doing just fine with the twin turbos in their F-150s since 2010. Both 3.5L and 2.7L are workhorse engines and especially with the 2.7L, quite reliable. Any bad press related to F-150 reliability of recent focuses on the hybrid platforms first couple of years (which were rough). The non-hybrid Ecoboosts are rock solid. So solid that literally everyone is duplicating it. Toyota ditched NA V-8s, now Ram has ditched NA V-8s. GM still hasn't but they promoting the hell out of their own TT I-4 half-ton. Both Toyota and Ram's launches have totally hit the skids. The 3.0L Hurricane has tons of issues of mis-firing cylinders. Toyota has basically had to recall their entire fleet of 3.5L TT V-6s for loss of power issues.

If your problem is TTs in general, then OK. But to say Ford is your issue in this arena, I would beg to differ. Ford basically invented this area and is doing it well. Ford's larger issues lie in the area of software related bugs, like Sync.
Very True on the TT 2.7 and 3.5 Eco Boosts.

This applies to the 2.0L in the Maverick. If you use regular (87 octane) gas you're only getting about 225 hp from the current engine in the Bronco Sport. I haven't read whether the new HP rating for the Maverick is with premium or regular.
The 2.0L in the Maverick is losing 12HP for '25 because of the addition of a gas particulate filter for emissions.

It likely depends on where you're at, but here in Oregon we have a saying; "If you don't like the weather now, wait an hour". I mess with it enough that when I'm in out Jeep, I absentmindedly reach over and change the radio station. (It has up<>down buttons next to the dials)

Just a matter of time before this is removed by owners to gain back the 12HP

Yes, that's noted in the article we are commenting on. What we don't know is if Ford intends to make the same modification to the engine for the Bronco Sport.

Do you know if the advertised HP figure for the 2025 Maverick is using premium or regular (87 octane) fuel?

Today it barely hit 70 F. Two weeks ago we were approaching 100 F. I adjust the temperature more than I adjust the radio volume. Having two vehicles with the temp constantly displayed and one without, I can say for me, knowing where it is set is useful for me. It doesn’t have to be on the knob, but somewhere would be useful.

As far as the screen size, 8 inches is plenty and from my perspective since I have both, sync 3 and sync 4 work the same. I just have a wireless adapter for the Sport. It takes a bit longer to sync compared the the full size but it’s no big deal to me.
