Heaven forbid something happened to your Bronco Sport... what are you going to get next?

What are you replacing your Bronco Sport with, if you lost it today?

The dealership where I bought my Bronco Sport from called me today saying they had a special offer for me. I know it's marketing and I know it's to get me to buy another car from them, but it did get me thinking.

I'm at 6.5% APR and I can't find anyone to finance it at a better rate (my credit's great). I've had the Bronco Sport for 15 months and while I'm liking it, it can get a little cramped for cargo and there are small fit and finish issues. I haven't had any issues that most complain about.

I don't think I'd get a Big Bronco. I might consider a Passport Trailsport, but they're more expensive. Maybe an Outback or Crosstrek. I'd really want to get more into off-roading to see what my needs really would be.

We already have Badlands. So that's same trim.

Rivian R3X is my next vehicle unless Ford does a Sport comparable.
Yep. I’m waiting to see the R2 in person. I put a reservation in right after the announcement.

Genesis GV70. We don't really off road. Bang for the buck is incredible. I found a "demo", 300 kms on a 24 model for virtually the same price as a new Badlands. The interior looks like it belongs in a 100k car. Reviews are saying this is the benchmark for compact luxury SUV's. I agree.

I love my BSBL! Ideally, I’d keep it if I could and then buy a full size Bronco! The BadSport is great around town and very capable for adventuring and off-roading. It’s funny to me- I wasn’t really interested in off-roading until I got my Sport and attended the Off-Roadeo. My husband was really into off-roading when we met, (he actually drove for the jeep tour companies out of Ouray for many years). Fast forward to now, and after one full year of an off-road season, I think we’ve learned the limits of the Badlands. I test drove a full size at the end of the summer, and fell in love! I would have traded then, but I have a great interest rate right now, and it just didn’t make sense financially to move to a full size - yet. :)

I like my 2021. I wouldn't buy a 2024 with all the Ford cheap-outs. I don't like the revealed refresh pics with the giant screen. I guess Maverick is a possibility but I don't think the tiny bed is worth it for a 4-door truck. Most every other pickup on the market now is too big, including Ranger, Tacoma and Colorado. Maybe back to GM. That's a very reliable brand in my time. Trailblazer? I like the current Jeep Cherokee, but it goes without saying that it's overpriced. I need my Sport to hang around.

4Runner hybrid looks awesome....except for the cost of a Toyota!

When Ford Motor Company finally adapts a true ICE/hybrid for the Bronco Sport, will it be a cost-saving purchase, or will it be the same ballpark price as the Toyota 4Runner? The Toyota would probably be the better purchase if the cost is the same.
