I wonder if they changed something? I have the hood insulation, checked adjustments and bump stops. It's annoying and may eventually become a problem. Aluminum flexing thousands of times will probably crack at some point. After warranty of course 🙄
I have the Ford one. No change in ridiculous hood vibration at freeway speeds. It's so bad I've had passengers ask if that was normal. Of the 20 or so Ford's I've had this is the only one that does it. Reminds me of some of the old Mopars I've had. Hood pins were required for safety 🤣.
Didn't watch the video but I know from my days as a dealer all chip type mods were detectable on the diesels. I can't see these being any different. You're modifying a computer = traceable. I know a kid that secretly chipped his dad's 6.7L, it blew up on dad. Our tech informed a very peeved dad...
Hard yay! Ours is Area 51, I will be buying these. If they came in black from the factory and someone painted them white we'd probably be thinking WTH? 🤣. As always though, to each his own.
I'd go with wrap. Cheaper and easy to return to stock if you or a future buyer decide you don't like it anymore. I have Area 51 with carbonized Gray. I'm thinking black would look better and blend in with the windows and pillars.
I only talk about it when asked and that is more often than I expected. Having owned many high end classic show cars through the years I was used to answering questions about my rides. It does surprise me when I get that many questions about a newer vehicle. We bought a nice Mercedes cabriolet...
I am old too. 😁. I was a Ford dealer for many years, just sold and retired. My biggest challenge was finding staff that were passionate about their jobs. We did have a great team overall though. Always had service loaners, can't imagine functioning without them. Some of the horror stories I've...
The Lamborghini and Mercedes forums are the same. All vehicle lines have problems. On the service side, I've seen a decline in service right across the entire marketplace, not just dealerships. Not sure why, a lot of experienced long term employees retiring? Manufacturers took advantage of...
Although I love the sound of a loud rumble. I personally only modify my exhaust if I have the horsepower to accompany it. The majority of my previous muscle cars had electric exhaust cut outs. The active exhaust on my Corvette was amazing. No cats and still no drone when closed. To each his own...
As a former Ford dealer (recently sold the business) I cannot tell you how many times I had to step up and rectify manufacturers & warranty issues. I usually, unsuccessfully applied for assistance from Ford afterwards. In a town of 5000 people our reputation was everything. All dealers have...
100 agree, we've had to tow vehicles off the Trans Canada highway because of it. Stranded on a very dangerous mountain pass in the dead of winter is extremely dangerous!
