Sidewall can make a big difference. Recently purchased new tires for my '22 Escape because of a sidewall bubble. Changed the OE H-rated Bridgestone to V-rated Continental CrossContact LX25. Should have stiffer sidewall. Noticeable road feel difference. Crisper handling.

Probably will do transmission, PTU, and RDU around 30k on both Escape and BS. Procedures seem much more mechanic friendly compared to my 3G Escape according to Fordtechmakuloco videos.

Try system reset. Press power and >> until something happens. Procedure in owner's manual.

My wife won a 2012 Escape Hybrid Limited at work in 2011. Atkinson cycle engine. Liked it a lot. 32.4 mpg over 100,000 miles to 2022 when we sold it. Very pleased with the mileage for a BS-shaped vehicle. We do a 670-mile trip each way six or so times a year. Full EV doesn't work for us.

I may have the brochure in the basement. Looked quickly and didn't find it. May go through the car folders again looking for it.

Issue with VWs 30 years ago with only opening the sunroof. Flemington VW/Porsche/Audi/BMW, NJ, had a brochure from VW on the flutter in a stand at the service counter. Remedy was to open a window a little.

That's a contributing factor against the very low miles Edge ST my salesman had me test drive when the Escape I ordered was delivered. Aged platform with just refreshes.

I like the Explorer Timberland a lot.

Folks in Europe on the Escape forum post owning a Kuga diesel with a stick. That would be fun. No sense in Ford bringing it over for the three of us that would buy it. 😀 I had a 2011 VW JSW TDI with a stick before my '14 Escape. Fun car. Dieselgate vehicle. 😀

Agreed. I drove a VW or Audi with a stick 1983 - 2015. Bronco with manual transmission would be fun. Just makes no sense for us.

We're major metropolitan city suburbs. Consider context of statement. Bronco for driving to the supermarket is about as practical as a Hummer.
