And just for kicks and kibbles, take the carrier off to see if it improves, even though you had it on before and got better.

If that does not show an improvement, you could always toss some chicken bones up in the air and chant "cast ye gas mileage demons away".

Is anyone else struggling with their gas mileage? The best I do is 21mpg, right now I'm between 19 and 20mpg. I was under the impression that I should be getting 25 city and 28+ highway. I drive normal and not like a jack ass, i keep rpms at about 1.5 while cruising. I've tried the eco mode and that doesn't seem to do anything. Am I missing something? I have falken wild peaks, but even with the stock tires I still averaged crap mpg.
We bought a used 2021 BS BB with original Continental tires in February. Took a short drive to my nephew's, mostly highway driving. We were very happy to see this...beats mpg with our former 2014 Explorer hands down! We have only used normal mode in our BS.

2.0L here. Around town (traffic, stop signs, lights) I get 21mpg. On interstates/higher speeds with almost no stops, I get nearly 30mpg. One of my trip meters I have never reset, shows the computer average over 27k miles of 25mpg (also learned the mile counter resets at 10k).

My wife just did a 1,600-mile trip in her BL. Just under 28 mpg.

your numbers are very similar to mine With the 2.0.

Today’s Hiway trip. I was 30.5 for the first half of two lane then it dropped with slightly higher speed on the 4 lane for the 2nd half of the trip. I was happy with it!

2.0 Badlands. 22 in town in the winter. 24 in the summer. I drive it like I stole it. Highway seems to be around 28-30 depending. It’s a brick and I have a heavy foot. Is what it is for me.

100% concur. Best highway trip was about 31. I also don't reset the accumulated screen and it is 25 and change overall.

I'm also disappointed so far from what I expected and from what I hear others report. 23 obx. I hope it gets better over time. I'm 4 months in by less than 2k miles. I don't drive crazy. mix of in town and highway. when I figure by hand, it comes out 2 mpg less than what the car display reports

Eh I get wrecked with 245/65/17s K02s on my big bend I average like 21 to 22mpg (idk if I need to adjust psi or what). I'm going to get the falkens next in 245/65/17 they are about 7lbs lighter per tire then the K02s. Wife works from home and I have like a 2 min commute I usually ride my motorocycle so it doesn't see alot of driving, more weekend warrior and vacation trips, so doesn't erk me to much.

On a recent trip from Port Canaveral to Orlando I got 38 mpg. Miami to Orlando about 35. Those are the exception as most of my driving is local and I try to avoid I4 (by Disney World). My day to day is around 28.

I get 21 in my OB. Before adding KO2s, hood deflector, and crossbars I got 24. Tires where probably the biggest hit.

45,000 Big Bend with pretty bald original tires. 28 mpg not a problem even keeping up with lunatics here in taxachusetts. Because everyone here drives like they stole it. New tires soon.
