On a recent trip from Port Canaveral to Orlando I got 38 mpg. Miami to Orlando about 35. Those are the exception as most of my driving is local and I try to avoid I4 (by Disney World). My day to day is around 28.
I had a 2013 BRZ I was very happy with. I used it primarily as a commuter car. My wifeās car was our primary car and we had an older Explorer for road trips with lots of luggage. As I and my contemporaries grow older it is harder and harder to get out of low slung cars. Also I wanted something a...
I had a discussion with my old Ford dealer over a scheduled service on my Explorer. The dealer had a huge, expensive list of things. I pointed out the list recommended by Ford. He said we thinkā¦ I stopped him and said Iāll go with what Ford thinks. He didnāt have an answer for that.
There is what appears to be a sensor in the middle of the dashboard by the windshield. Everything I can find says sensors and cameras are either mounted in the grill or up by the rear view mirror. Can someone tell me what it is?
Has anyone looked at the Ring dash cam? Announced a couple of years ago, they are slated to ship next month. It looks like it is a combination front/cabin camera that mounts at the dashboard level and is designed to get its power from the OBD port. Ring offers a $60 per year LTE subscription for...
My wifeās 2007 Lexus sat next to my 2013 BRZ. The rats loved the BRZ and left her car alone. Sort of. When I took the engine cover off her car I discovered a nest. So they lived in her car and ate mine. IIRC, it was about 2014 when the edible wiring came into play.
Rats ate the same wires on my BRZ four times. Sprayed with peppermint spray to no avail. Finally got the sonic noisemaker with random flashing lights. Put it right next to their favorite wires. Sprayed peppermint spray heavily. Went to bed. The rats chewed through the wires overnight. That was...
2103 Subaru BRZ. I used it primarily for commuting to work. Retired about three years ago. My wife didnāt like sitting so low, and a lot of friends felt the same way.
Was just watching MotorWeek. They were doing a short take on the Mitsubishi Outlander. It seems in trying to cut weight, they made the hood a bit too thin and owners started seeing their hoods shake at highway speed.
Wanna know what Mitsubishi did? They told owners to come in get a new, stiffer...
I just did a 2200 mile round trip in my OB. I was usually 5-9 mph above the posted speed. I noticed a drop off in mileage above 60 mph. My average for the trip was about 32.8 mph per the carās reckoning.
Iām 6ā 1ā and have always looked for a little rearward tilt to the driverās seat. I was seriously considering this as a solution. But we just finished a 2200 mile round trip Florida to Maryland. I didnāt have any of the aches or discomfort i got on the same trip in my wifeās Lexus ES350. So at...
I use a variety of products from Griotās. They have a number of spray on products as well as a couple of rinseless products. They are the only thing I used on my Audi TT, Subaru BRZ, and Factory Five Cobra.
