Thanks, it was driving me crazy, and I'm trying not to Google things to keep my brain exercising as I try to figure this stuff out, haha.
There was also the Baja, but that was a four-door and no seats in the bed. Also came about 15 years after the Brat.

Was just looking at pictures of the Brat. What a marvel that was, and I realize now that my uncle was too cheap for the roll bar, so it was even more dangerous riding in that thing. :D

That is a beaut! Speaking of "how did we survive", my crazy uncle had one of those Subarus (I can't remember the name now) that had sort of like a pickup bed but 2 plastic seats in the back that he would slap us in and do 85 on the highway.
The Subaru Brat. My sister-in-law had one. It was definitely a strange beast.

I can imagine the outrage of younger people seeing a child in the back of a car, even if it's parked, and reminisce to the days of our station wagon growing up with a rear seat facing out the back window and no seatbelts as my dad drove hours on the highway for vacations. I wouldn't trade growing up in the 70s-'80s for anything. 3 kids hanging out the back of the wagon and a German Shepherd sleeping in the bed.

That is one adorable baby!
My parents had an LTD wagon with the seats facing out the back window.

Haha, I was born in '58 and did all the things. I have some awesome scars.

I dont even bother looking a Fords site for any of this. Cross rails for the roof racks are in the works and OEM are double what Im going to spend.
I bought a set of used oem crossbars before Iknew there were two different types. Yup, the On Road didn’t fit my Badlands. Went aftermarket for a third of the Ford price. My set of On Road bars will be sold cheap if someone near northern Vermont wants them

Just picked up my Badlands at the beginning of September and making small changes, like stubby antenna, front tow hook covers, raised Bronco dash letters and some other small tweaks to start. Has anyone been able to get their hands on the BS OEM non carpet floor mats? I have been told they are on back order. Going up to 245/65/17's in the future as well as crossbars.

They're currently in stock directly from >>> Ford <<<< if your ready to purchase now. There's usually a single use discount code in the top banner of the site.

I don’t know if you have Harbor Freight in Canada (or similar), but they have inexpensive bars that extend past the rails. They’re “universal” mount, low profile, and basic — no frills, but have worked well for me over the past 5 years.

I may have to try again, I purchased directly through Ford parts a few weeks ago and they wound up cancelling my order and refunding my points since they said they were out of stock with no estimate on when they were coming back in. I will try again.

No Harbour freight here and I gave myself a headache trying to find a Canadian source lol. There seem to be a lot of drop shippers and confusing web sites. Now with tariffs there are no deals to be had.
