It would happen on my 2020 fusion if a car was turning and it thought I was too close and it put LED lights on my windshield as well as making that beeping noise. It was a line of red LED right on the windshield.
Is that dealer specific? Earlier in the thread someone said they had it done in their driveway and the sheet they handed me about mobile service had software/computer updates as a listed service at home.
My view preferences when I left for work were set properly, I'll have to check again when I leave. The only thing that I can see that is different is the app now shows my oil life at 100%, it was showing 75% before the update, I'm glad I checked the service tab before they pushed it to my car.
This is exactly what my dealer told me. If the software update ends up bricking it, it will take 5 hours to reflash the entire system so they told me to plan for a 5 hour visit, even if it takes 10 minutes, they have seen it brick. I go in Thursday morning.
My BB doesn't have a plastic steering wheel. I'm not sure what it is, but it feels like leather. I have a 2025 with the black appearance package and convenience package, but I'm not sure what the wheel is made of. Feels very premium, though, much nicer than my Fusion's foam one.
I called the dealer I bought my BS from and they said we don't have the parts. I said the app says it's a software update and he was like, oh, I'll have to call you back when I get more info.
Edit: They just called me. Told me I need to drop it off, if the update fails it will take 5 hours so...
Generally, this is where I land, but I'm glad mine came with the Black Appearance Package; otherwise, I'd have been replacing the wheels and plasti-dipping the lettering, etc. I love the blackout look.
Was just looking at pictures of the Brat. What a marvel that was, and I realize now that my uncle was too cheap for the roll bar, so it was even more dangerous riding in that thing. :D
That is a beaut! Speaking of "how did we survive", my crazy uncle had one of those Subarus (I can't remember the name now) that had sort of like a pickup bed but 2 plastic seats in the back that he would slap us in and do 85 on the highway.
It's how they get you. Talking with the NYS retirement system, if I keep working, I'll basically be working for like 30,000 a year. Time to move on to bigger and more fun things!
Sorry for the hijack! My 1.5L got me home safe, so I'm still happy with it. ;)
Thanks, I was going to go last January but they keep floating that we're going to get 60th's (weird union contract jargon, yes) so I've been strung along like a donkey chasing a carrot waiting. I'll tap out in 2026, though for sure, 60th's or not! :D
