Uncomfortable Seats

We have two Bronco Sports. A 2025 Outer Banks, and a 2024 Badlands. Both of these vehicles are a bit uncomfortable after prolonged sitting or I guess you can say, on long trips.
Anybody else experience this? What have you done for an upgrade to increase the comfort of the seats?

I find just the opposite, I found the higher trim seats in the OB very conferrable on a long trip. maybe you just have to play a little bit with positioning ?

i put the desert does it brand seat jackers. it helped a bit. tilts the front edge of the seat up. that and getting the lumbar adjusted right helps a lot. i was going to just get some square washers and do it myself but i ended up just spending the money. Factory bolts for the front seat are M10 x 1.5 with 1-3/16" of thread.

They are not the most comfortable but decent IMO.
I asked a place around here that does custom interiors if they could put in denser foam, and they said they could not that it was just the way many cars come these days.

The seat in my "22 BS BB never bothered me. Then after driving a Lincoln Nautilus as a loaner car for a week last year, I realized that the BS BB seat was not as comfortable as the Lincoln. Since then, I have been using a memory foam lumbar support cushion for extra bulk at the junction of the seat and seat back. I think using the cushion as a space filler creates a more comfortable ride.

I have back issues so the seats were very uncomfortable to me. I use a memory foam cushion as well as a memory foam lumbar pillow. It is a big improvement.

Would you happen to have a link to the two cushions you are using? I have the same problem and any cushion I find squishes down to nothing after a minute, which doesn’t help at all.

You don't realize how different cars seats are until you drive other vehicles. I've owned 3 German vehicles, and they seem to have it figured out with seat comfort. They are firmer than American brands but more comfortable.

My wife's 2022 GLC 300 has an AMG line package. Mostly outside visual changes but includes what they call "sport seats". Incredibly comfortable with what it seems like infinite adjustments.

Also has extendable thigh supports and great side bolster support.

Do I expect all cars to have seats like this, hell no but it shows great seats are out there.

Yes, all of my Escapes and my Edge each have 10 way power seats. The BS has 8 way power seats. It makes a big difference in finding the sweet spot when trying to get a good seat position.

On the 10 way power seats there is an adjustment to adjust the front or back tilt angle of the seat. On the 10 way power seats you are able to push down or pull up the ends of the seat height adjustment lever to change the tilt position of the seat. On the BS the front to back tilt is not adjustable only the seat heigh.

On the BS I find myself always constantly making slight changes to the seat position to get comfortable.

Exactly. Lack of a seat tilt is my issue.

Here is the lumbar pillow. It works so well for me that I bought two of them. One for the car one for inside the house on a chair. I hope it helps you.

Im telling you guys, seat tilt with spacers helps a bit. I wish the seat bottom was longer also, im under 6’ and seat bottom only comes out still above my knee area. But angle is more comfortable.
