Ford Bronco Sport Driver's seat misaligned 1000029561

Does anyone else have an issue with the driver's seat being misaligned and not square to the steering wheel? I've noticed mine for over 2 years, and it's getting more and more uncomfortable. Because of the way I'm forced to sit when nested into the back bolster, the bottom left seat bolster is completely worn, while the right bolster is still firm because it doesn't bear any weight. Anytime I make a right turn, I feel like I'm falling into the door. I've seen another thread about the seat cushion feeling lower on the left side, but nothing about this misalignment issue. Dealership thinks I'm nuts and says this is just the way it's designed. I refuse to believe engineers would design a seat to be off square. In the photo, the white lines are string I taped from the exact same spot on the door frame on each side to make a frame of reference that is square. I then tied the other sting from the center of the steering wheel. The red lines are how my back falls into the bolster, and the direction I point while sitting. I love this vehicle, but the seat is almost a deal breaker, as it is so uncomfortable and the first thing I notice every single time I get in the vehicle. On long trips, it's all I can think about and my lower back becomes strained from feeling like I'm fighting the seat to sit straight. Never had this issue with any other car I've ever driven.

Hi there! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

Yes. I have an early build 21 Badlands and always feel like I’m leaning towards the passenger seat. I’ve never been able to get comfortable in these seats. They feel flat. My former Escape had a 10-way seat with more bolsters to “hug” you.

Wonder if this affects driving safety at all? Seems like it could be an issue.

All the best to you with this issue! This would absolutely be a deal breaker for me! Perhaps it’s your string line & drawings on the pic or even the angle it’s taken, but it visually looks misaligned. I may have been the one posting about the bottom seat cushion feeling lower. Some of that was due to my hips being out of alignment, but more I notice I just simply don’t fit in this seat.

Falling out of it against the door when turning right as there’s simply no support under my left side has just become something I’ve accepted. That may be because I tend to sit more to the left on the seat & I’m not sure if that’s just because I’m wider than the seat (so it feels normal on my right side towards the middle) or because there might be a bit off center. I don’t think there’s much off center on mine though & I don’t believe anything angling the seat towards the door as yours looks to be.
