Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the number of times the turn signal blinks when you only tap the signal arm (like for lane change). It blinks only 3 times. I've had other vehicles where you could change the number to 5.
Thanks

The owners manual says nothing about changing it, but I would guess you could probably do it with FORScan. Cheers!

I wish there was a simple preference setting for it- our other vehicles have that. 3 is too few. I know it can be done with ForScan. It's talked about in the big ForScan thread in the tech section if you want to try that route. A kind dealership miiiight also help with it.

I tried several dealerships and they are absolutely not interested in doing anything Forscan related for clients. They were especially not interested in changing the two honk settings or the function that shuts the car down at a red light. What we need is a way for all of us Bronco owners to find an independent shop who would do this kind of thing for a nominal charge. Unfortunately I've not had much luck in finding anyone who has the tools or equipment and is willing to do this around here.

Yeah, this is the kind of thing I miss from my previous Hyundai Tucson. Not only could I change the blink count (3, 5 or 7), but I could also turn off the wireless charger completely so that the phone would not charge even if placed on the pad. Lots more customization options (ambient lighting colors, for example) in the Tucson, but it never was as much fun to drive as my BS Badlands. The Tucson was a snooze fest on wheels.

I was able to do change this with Forscan on my work truck from 3 to 6 and its perfect timing for a lane change. 3 is too short.

I did not see this option however when browsing the folders on the sport. If anyone has successfully done it, i would like to know how.

if anyone around Sacramento needs help with Forscan things I would be willing to help.

On my F150 it would blink 5 times with the trailer connected Mybe putting a dummy plug in the trailer connector would work?

Whew, my life is way too short to spend time thinking about some of these “problems”. I’ve got me a dependable, pretty simple SUV that can get me from A to B on almost any road in almost any weather. I’m OK with adapting to what the designers decided to set up as the standard features. I engage my turn signal before I change lanes and disengage it when I’m finished. It blinks as many times as I want it to based on the traffic situation I’m in.

When I was driving truck hauling containers from the port of SFO going down Van ness ave, when I had to change lanes, I would count to three slowly and start the lane change. I have never had a problem with that. I always tried to stay in the center lane.

Rookies. Everyone knows that you need higher viscosity blinker fluid to slow them down and get fewer blinks per second.

Have you tried adding more blinker fluid?

OK, so I'm confused, if I want it to blink more, do I add MORE fluid, or LOWER viscosity fluid?

Some Bronco Sports owners posted that changing the turn signal blink count (flash count) from 3 to 6 worked but later other owners stated the FORScan update no longer worked. Who knows.

Perhaps try this:
Module: SCCM (Steering Column Control Module)
Field: 724‑01‑01 (“Turn Signal Flashes”)
Set to: C for 6 flashes
Results: Quick tap = 6 blinks

If you are low on blinker fluid you should completely drain it and replace it with “Premium” for more powerful blinking. All synthetic of course. A real man would do this himself of course and not trust the dealer to do it for him. The manual says it only needs done every 1M blinks but I don’t trust Corporate built-in obsolescence policies and change mine every 1K blinks the way my father taught me and the good lord intended.
